I used to wear military boonie hats for 8 months a year, this being Georgia and all. I like the all-around brim and the breathability of cotton or poly canvas in hot and humid environments. I have now switched over to the Patagonia version, the Ops Hat. It is in a lighter weight material than the BDU version, has a slightly wider brim, and is constructed to the high standards you expect from Yvon and Co. I love it in the blue, probably get one in khaki soon.
