"I really like the look and feel of the jacket. It is exactly what I was looking for"
The jacket is great fro moderately cold weather. It is very stylish and warm for a fleece. I wouldn't recommend it for cold winter days but I am definitely happy with my purchase. I would recommend the jacket to everyone. Well worth the money.
I'm very impressed how warm this fleece is. I've compared it to my other Patagonia Los lobos fleece jacket and also a Columbia Omni Heat fleece jacket and they don't even compare to how ridiculously warm this thing is. I'm very pleased with it and I'll be using it as a midlayer when the weather gets down to the teens this week in Boston. Overall , excellent product. I ordered a large and I'm 511 173lbs. I think the Medium would have been a better fit but I like to have other shirts and a thermal underneath and the Medium might be too snug and I will lose the freedom of movement which I like.
"My go-to fleece for out on the town and out on the trail."
I got this jacket a few years ago when one of the colors was bright orange. It's definitely visible no matter where you are. Plus is warm and super lightweight. It packs down decently small and makes a great pillow if you want to use it for a nap.
This jacket is super versatile. I needed a coat to replace my North Face Denali and this fit the bill. It's really warm, light, fashionable, breathable and comfortable. I wear it to work as well as out on the town. I've received many compliments on it and have had many people feel the texture and compliment on how comfortable the coat looks. It is quite plush with the fleece being a big longer than most which really helps with the warmth and style. I am 5'6" and 170 lbs and a medium fits well with some room to spare, it's a regular fit coat and stretches a bit with wear but returns back after a wash. I got the gray color and absolutely love it to match jeans as well as business casual clothing.. I highly recommend this coat!
I've had this for a year, and it was perfect for walking to class from November to March when it was freezing everyday. It's very lightweight but warm and extremely comfortable at the same time. The only problem I had was that the bottom part on the back got worn down from my backpack, but that's the only downside I've found. Bottom line: Looks great and feels great.
I am 5'9" 160-175 lbs and got a size small and the fit of this jacket is perfect even with a tshirt or long sleeves underneath! Very soft high loft fleece and is has drawstrings on bottom of jacket on both sides to sinch jacket up! Was surprised jacket did not have a small inside pocket like a few of my other fleece jackets but its no big deal! One complaint is sleeve ends are a little loose wished there was adjustable cuffs or spandex matterial so it would be a tighter fit! Overall the jacket is a solid fleece jacket and would highly recommend it as well as Mountain Hardwear Monkey Jacket, these by far are the two best high loft thermal pro fleece jackets I have ever owned!
This is the softest jacket I've ever owned. It's very light but at the same time it's very warm. I got it in dill and it looks great. My only concern is the durability of the jacket. Since it's so light and soft, it feels a little fragile. I haven't had it for very long though so we'll see what happens in the future.
"Literally the best thing I bought all year"
This jacket is amazing...the color is so new and in vogue...it holds up really well when washed. There has been no pilling so far which is great. It fits true to size and definitely has a slimming effect (or so my wife says).. For anyone on the envelope about this item I say to with your gut and get it as you won't regret it.. Thanks Moose Jaw for another great item
Bought this for my boyfriend as he needed a warm jacket for fall. So far he likes it and wears it alot. I was pretty skeptical that the XL would fit him since he's 6'6, but he's skinny enough so it's not too tight or anything. The sleeves were fine, but it could be a little longer in the torso... Like most Patagonia stuff its well made and definitely worth it if you can get it on sale like I did! :)
"Versatile fleece everyone will want to grope"
After going back and forth between the R2 and R3 I decided to spend a little more for the R3. Glad I did. The fit is great...like many Patagonia offerings a little slim in torso (which I love) so it could be a bit snug for some. Three pockets, zipper garage, elastic drawstring adjustment and the whole bit...but the coolest (warmest?) feature of the R3 is the material. The fleece feels as if it was ripped straight from a Muppet's ass. It is insanely soft and everyone will want to touch it, which might improve your social life.
This is a classic piece. Just the right amount of down to keep it nice and toasty, but light enough to wear through the beginning of fall/spring. (I use it on most days except the coldest of winter). The DWR coating fights off moisture, and the polyester rip-stop keeps the wind at bay. Once you go down, you don't go back, its just a more 'cozy' warmth than similar synthetic insulated pieces. The one thing that does bug me a bit about the jacket (if i had to nit-pick) is the fit.
