"The Patagonia R1 Pullover is legit. It's light, comfortable, and still provides good warmth. I use it as a layering piece for the slopes, and also when I need a long sleeve on the golf course, or walking town if there's still just a little chill in the air. I sport the Narwhal Grey, but if you like a little pop there are some serious color options. Be cool, pull it over your head."

But instead of just turning a 180 and walking back in the direction from which you came, you have to first do something like check your watch or phone or make a grand arm gesture and mutter to yourself to ensure that no one in the surrounding area thinks you're crazy by randomly switching directions on the sidewalk

"comfortable and warm" 05/09/12
I have tested this shirts ability over 100 times and is still performing like the first. Stretches if you need it to but fits nice and tight to wear under other layers. I wear it directly on my skin and get the best results. A perfect shirt for any time of the year!
"Great mid-layer" 04/15/12
Love the baffled R1 fleece - warm, layers easily, fabric looks great. Off-set seams are very welcome when backpacking. Indifferent design/fit to the collar. Forever hopeful that some day a medium-long option will be offered, having to always trade off slim fit for sleeve length is tiresome.
"Breathable light insulation for everyday use or trekking in the backcountry" 03/12/12
The R1 is a staple in my pack for any hiking i do as well as in my car for every day use where i need a little extra warmth. It is pretty surprising how warm it is for its weight. great layering piece that is really breathable and is totally comfortable. Overall great piece for what its made for. buy this!!
"Light weight & warm" 01/31/12
I've been wearing my new R1 pullover for the last two days. The waffled fleece on the inside is the place where it should be & it works incredibly well at keeping you warm with the weight to preformance ratio. I have another top line brand & they did the opposite, putting the fleece on the outside, go figure??? Anyway my wife saw the R1 & just had to have one. So Valentine's Day is all most here, so what a better way to get points with my wife & Moosejaw then to order my wife a small Dark Plum. They aren't cheap but they are very well made.
"Works great!" 01/19/12
I have an R1 hoody, and sometimes the hood is unnecessary and gets bunched up and/or in the way. I love the R1 material and fit otherwise, so when you don't need the hood this pullover is pretty much perfect. I miss the thumb holes but it's pretty minor. I'm 5'9", 150 and prefer the small over the medium, I still have enough room with the small for a baselayer on colder days. Anyhow, it rocks, get it for less than $100 and you'll feel like a better person.
"My go to all fall and winter" 01/18/12
The R1 is the perfect piece to wear out to the bar, over a t shirt, in 40-50 degree weather or as a bottom/mid-layer for camping/hiking in Winter. I'm not a super outdoorsmen by any means, but I partake in enough camping and hiking trips to know that this thing is legit. It's super breathable but keeps you pretty toasty at the same time. The inside is soft while the outside is a tough enough material to withstand outdoor activities. I'm 6'2 225 and the XL fits me to a T. Another quality product form Patagonia.
"Favorite fleece, almost as good as my old one" 01/17/12
I got this to replace my old R1 pullover from about 4 years ago that I lost. The R1 is one of my favorite pieces. I use it as a layer under my shell on the mountain, but I also use it nearly every chilly day around town or just around the house. It's super comfortable, and has a great fit. I am 6'1" 180, and I got a large. The only qualm I have with this year's model is that they have done away with the tapered cuffs. On this one they hang down on my hands a little bit. In the grand scheme of things, though, that is really a miniscule complaint, and I am very happy with my new R1.
"My husbands favorite pullover!" 01/16/12
I bought this for my husband and he wears it constantly. It looks great with jeans, but it also a warm option for outdoor activities. The green-ish gray color I bought him is lovely and I'm sure he would love it if I would buy him another one!
