"Light, Warm, very packable!"  03/08/12

this jacket is so light (under 10oz) you will be amazed, and it packs down so small and It provides instant warmth and blocks out all the wind thanks to the drawcord at the hem. Love the fact that it has the extra third pocket at the chest too. The fabric is super tough for how light it is, but I am very careful around brush, branches, and anything else that could snag it. Also, dont pull out any down you see poking through, rather try to push it back in or pull it back in from the other side. Love the hood and am glad I went with it instead of the hoodless version, so nice to just throw it on and instantly warm up the dome.....get one you wont regret it!

"Amazing"  10/08/11

Online patagonia representative states this has more down than the regular "Down Jacket" (I forget the exact numbers given, but it was minimal). Yet it still remains a few ounces lighter due to shell material (feels more durable than original 'DJ') and slim fit. I can fit a sweater beneath it and it easily fits under my hard and soft shells.Positive: LIGHT, impressive warmth for its weights, comfortable, very packableNegative: Medium, 5'9.5" and athletic 165. I am a solid medium in every major brand, Patagonia included, however I nearly bought the large due to it being borderline length in the arms, large was too big in the gut.

"The hoody if you want instant warmth!"  09/21/11

So i was trying the pategonia down jackets and kinda liked them, then i tried this one on and holy crap it felt warmer instantly. Its much thinner and closer to the body and the hood doesnt require any fancy string adjustments but dang it got warm right away! Is it worth $50 more than the Patagonia down sweater, um easy decision? Plus the outter material is more durable as well as lighter than the down sweaters. It is smooth and the arms are just the right length. It slides under any jacket easy. Perfect!
