DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Primaloft Gold

PrimaLoft Gold
PrimaLoft Gold synthetic insulation offers light weight thermal efficiency, permanent water resistance, maximum breathability and superior softness.

Each Patagonia product is designed and shaped specifically for its intended use, and below are their generalized four fit descriptions, and details about each fit. The Patagonia fit for each style can be found in the product description features or specifications.

• Conforms to the body's contours.

• Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.

• Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers. Men's regular fit pants have a slimmer fit through that thigh, lower leg, and cuff.

• Drapes loosely on the body. Men's relaxed fit pants have a bit of extra room through the hip, thigh, lower, and cuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only ounce counting gear junkies need apply If you're even considering this jacket you're likely an ounce-counting gear junkie like myself. Lets get to the brass tax, my size Large weighed in at 256g on my scale, which is just over 9oz. This special edition comes in at 3 ounces lighter than my previous full zip Nano Puff Jacket that I loved so much. Now, a 3 ounce savings doesn't seem like a whole lot, but consider its 25% lighter than my other full zip nano puff. The cost to weight savings may not be worth it to some, understandably. However I'm very happy, the jacket is awesomely constructed and I love the fit Patagonia has. I have yet to see a comparable (in terms of weight) synthetic jacket from anyone else that offers the same wind resistance and warmth, this is starting to compete with down jackets in terms of weight! Bottom line? It's awesome.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket I purchased this a few months ago, and it is an all around great jacket. I have worn it hiking, fishing and lounging around the house. It is the most comfortable piece of clothing I have. It probably works best as a mid-layer, but I have often worn it over a long-sleeve base layer shirt + T-shirt and it keeps me warm. It is odd, you will never get too hot in this jacket, and you will never be cold. Even when lounging in a 70 degree house, I wear it and do not get hot. In contrast, if I'm hiking in 25 degree weather, it keeps me perfectly balanced. My only complaint is that the stitching, although the design looks awesome, the exposed stitching is a little treacherous. This is why I reccomend it for a mid-layer if one is hiking. I was hiking once, and got caught on a stray branch; the branch pulled one of my stitches out. I tied the not, and you can't really tell, but It is a little frustrating to spend so much money on a jacket and a stitch gets pulled during use. Overall, awesome jacket, I reccomend to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great warm layer or Fall outer pullover I found this very warm, and thin enough to wear under a jacket or shell. The size runs a bit small, but worked well for me as I am between a Medium and a Large. Would definitely recommend this product.
