The Patagonia Men's Shelled Synchilla Snap-T Hoody is a versatile fleece jacket for September through November, and you know what, some might even throw in December if it's mild enough. The Patagonia classic gets an upgrade with the Shelled Synchilla Snap-T Hoody, by adding a water-resistant upper and full front zip. The nylon taslan shell is found at the shoulders, arms, and hood and is coated with a durable water repellent finish which prevents light rain from soaking into the fabric surface. The handwarmer pockets provide a spot for your hands to hang out when the wind blows as you stroll around town and the snap-t pocket secures your phone or maybe a granola bar inside. Elastic at the hood, cuffs, and hem helps trap heat inside and block drafts from entering. Ready for any adventure from football games to the trail, to weekend errands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from comfy + unique + practical Been wearing this nonstop all winter and I love it. Went for the hunter green and I don't regret it. It doesn't get too hot here in Texas, so this one's good for as low as about 35 degrees or so, I'd say. The shoulders and arms are water resistant, and the fleece is even softer than when I bought it, after just a few dozen wears and one washing. In general I am a huge fan of the full zip, so thats a huge bonus. I have been wanting a full zip hooded synchilla for so long-- I didn't know these existed! One pleasant surprise... my hunter green didn't come with the light blue trim like the picture, it had purple! Super cool.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So-so Hello shoppers! I have purchased numerous Patagonia jackets, fleeces etc. along with many other well known outdoor brands. I recently purchased a synchilla snap-t hoody. Nothing but excitement! Unfortunately, after tearing through the packaging like a kid on Christmas I was let down. The quality of the sweater has gone down tremendously. I tried it on hesitantly, hoping I'd still be happy with it being much thinner and lightweight than before. I took it off, folded it up and initiated a return. I then decides to give this jacket a shot. The Shelled, zip up version. Unfortunately I ended up with the same feeling. Very lightweight, fairly thin, fairly useless side pockets due to size and single snap, the hood is very small, and your back and shoulders have little to no room. Wore it this morning in a light fog, stayed dry but was still looking for more warmth (as in description best work for September-November). This jacket is best for light walks or in my opinion best fit for the house as far as warmth goes. Patagonia in my personal opinion is lacking the same quality they once were able to obtain. As far as comfort, warmth and function I now prefer the men's North Face Hooded Denali and have purchased 2 within the past 3 months. I am on the fence whether or not to keep this jacket, as I do like the way it looks aesthetically (red & navy blue). I'm 5'11" and weigh 145lbs. Hope this review helps! Cheers

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect balance of weight & warmth Had this hoody about a week. Long enough to get out in a chilly rain. It's plenty warm and handles light rain & mist well. Obviously not mean for torrential downpours but it has proven pretty versatile so far. Seems to run a little larger than my other Patagonia stuff so it's on the big end of true to size for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good looks, Restrictive material As others have said, this jacket looks good and is cozy but has zero stretch in the shoulders/arms. It would probably work fine for somebody who doesn't need to bend and reach for anything like bike handle bars for example, I just don't know anybody like that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect weight My son did not want a big bulky jacket but we still needed warmth for New England weather. Perfect weight and combination of fleece and water repellent. Small men's fit him 5ft 2 120lbs.
