The Men's R1 Full Zip Jacket by Patagonia stretches, breathes, wicks and warms, no wonder so many serious trail and mountain athletes use and abuse an R1. And now it's even more versatile, with a full-zip front making it easier to use for everything from a mid layer in winter to a lightweight jacket on early spring mornings and alpine summer evenings. The high/low interior grid polyester enhances compressibility, airflow, insulation and dry time, and the jersey micro fiber face allows smooth layering. Two zippered hand warmer pockets sit above the harness line and have glued-in (no seams) internal mesh pocket bags.

"Comfortable Form-Fitting Layer." 		          11/18/09
I am 6'1" and slim and the Medium fits very well. It is form-fitting but not Emo tight. Warm and breathable. Full-zip is the way to go. Working from home, I wear this daily around the house. Rolls up nicely to stuff in my backpack. Moosejaw has the best price! Thanks for the complementary Luna bar and Moosejaw bumper sticker in the package.

The Patagonia R1 is sweet. I purchased one for my wife and liked it so much that I went out and got one for myself. Great for layering in the winter and as a jacket for cool days in the spring and fall. Patagonia continues to produce great products.

"How do you make a legend better? Add a full zip!" 		          07/03/09
The R1 from Patagonia has become a legend in the realm of outdoor equipment. If the pullover is a must have in your outdoor arsenal, than the full zip will make you go freakin' nuts. This jacket is so versatile as a mid layer piece or as a summer morning/evening warm up. The hand warming pockets kick tail too. Get one!
