This is a perfect jacket for any dude looking for a shell. My boy loves the blue color (and so do I!) with the light and dark blue. The jacket was super stiff when he first got it, but now that he's skied in it for a couple days, the GorTex layer has started to loosen up and fit like a normal jacket without the weird bumps. He loves all the pockets inside and outside, and the hood is a great size for him. The only thing he doesn't like is the powder skirt is not removable, but he can deal with it because it's not too invasive. We are moving to Australia in the spring time and I know he'll bring it for a rain jacket over there and be super happy while backpacking and outdoorsing.
To say I heart this jacket would be the understatement of today. I have heard other say that this jacket has weird sizes, but I would I have to disagree. I am 6'2" 200lbs, I got the large and it fits perfect. The sleeves are a bit longer, but perfect for ice climbing. Additionally the jacket is a bit longer than normal which keeps your butt from getting wet. It has an athletic fit meaning that it doesn't balloon out under your arms and get caught in your ice axe. If you are going for that marshmallow look, this jacket will probably disappoint. That being said, you aren't going to get a ton of layers under this, but you can fit a nice down jacket underneath this should the need arise.
