"Beautiful coat, almost too warm!" 01/29/12
Right out of the box I liked this coats simple yet attractive styling, the cool Patagonia logo is small but noticeably placed. Once I logged some hours in it I began to uncover some of its best attributes, this thing is really warm and very light weight. I found myself taking it off for cool down periods when exerting extra energy because it was seriously warm and completely wind-proof. Pockets are plentiful and they're big, I easily stowed all sorts of gear while I made my way through the snow. I find myself wearing this coat to work and other daily functions. Simply put, this coat is a great value and you're friends will likely be jealous.

"Comfortable and Warm" 01/13/12
This jacket is great. I wore this on top of my patagonia downsweater to a Park City ski trip and was incredibly warm. The only caution I offer is that while I have found Patagonia to generally run large, this one seems to be a little smaller.
"Perfect" 01/12/12
5'10", 165 pounds and M fits perfect. The insulated hood is very warm, but it is a little bulky if you are not wearing a helmet. Waterproof shell and insulation make this a formidable outer layer, and if coupled with a warm layer beneath, very cold temperatures are not a problem. I wear this jacket to class every day; temps have been down to teens and I'm still toasty. Great jacket, would recommend to anyone.
"Very well designed and light" 12/12/11
I typically prefer Arcteryx over Patagonia for fit and function. The Nano Storm intrigued me because it combined a waterproof exterior shell with a light 60g layer of primaloft for a reasonable price. Fits perfectly over a hoody sweatshirt or mid weight fleece jacket. The exterior shell is noisy but is completely waterproof and durable. This is an excellent around town or light belay jacket. It might work as a lighter ski jacket but I would prefer to have a higher collar and powder skirt on a ski jacket (Outskirts jacket from last year and is perfection for skiing). If I could only have one winter jacket this would be it. Moosejaw pricematch, free shipping = slam dunk.
"The Bee's Knees" 10/05/11
I popped this guy on as soon as I got it. As much as I love my hometown of Juneau, the cold and rainy fall season sucks a whole lot. This jacket makes it not so bad! It is waterproof enough to combat our constant rain, warm enough to deal with the plummeting temps and thin enough that it's not a hassle to wear around all day. This jacket commands respect; everyone you come across will know how badass you are when you have it on. This jacket came with high praise and it certainly hasn't disappointed. I can't wait to hit the slopes with it. I know it will serve me well through the winter.
"Traditional Patagonia Quality, Modern Design" 02/15/11
Patagonia strikes again! Super light yet extremely warm design that will fit well with my other Capilene base layers and R2 fleece on the colder days. All zippers seal tight to avoid any leakage. Wish I would have bough earlier in the season! Moosejaw always helps with the price matching!
"Sturdy light weight jacket for days when you don't need a coat or want to layer over sweater." 01/27/11
As with all patagonia, a jacket with unsurpassed quality that will last for years to come. Needed a light-weight jacket that was also roomy enough to wear over layers, (ie. patagonia better sweater). Will wear early Spring and Fall and some Winter days during 40-60% days in Colorado.
"Shockingly lightweight & warm jacket" 01/27/11
I'm surprised how warm this jacket is, given the fact that its incredibly thin and light. I love it! Easy to move around in high-energy activities like skiing or snowshoeing without feeling like the Michelin Man. I wore mine for a half-day snowshoe excursion with just a Capilene 2 base layer in 20 degree weather and never once did I feel too cold or overly hot. I'm 5'11" and 200 lbs. The large fit okay, but I found the length of the arms and the coat itself a bit too short. So I went with the XL and it fits great - its a little loose, but its definitely the right size for me. If you have broad shoulders like I do and stand over 6' and weigh more than 200 lbs, you might want to go for the XL.
"Lightweight and Warm" 01/07/11
I'm 5-11, 155lbs and a Medium fits me perfectly (with room for another sweater layer underneath if I want). Lightweight jacket and warm Primaloft...although not as warm as a traditional down-filled jacket. But that shouldn't be an issue if you use this for active-wear like the slopes. Also the jacket's a bit pricey but Moosejaw was great in price-matching. LTM
