Men's Fit Guide Details & Info
Patagonia's measurements refer to body size and NOT garment dimensions. Sorry for yelling about it.
Each Patagonia product is designed and shaped specifically for its intended use, and below are their generalized four fit descriptions, and details about each fit. The Patagonia fit for each style can be found in the product description features or specifications.
FORMFITTING • Conforms to the body's contours.
SLIM FIT • Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.
REGULAR FIT • Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers. Men's regular fit pants have a slimmer fit through that thigh, lower leg, and cuff.
RELAXED FIT • Drapes loosely on the body. Men's relaxed fit pants have a bit of extra room through the hip, thigh, lower, and cuff.
Rated 3 out of
Decent but not warm enough!Bought the XL jacket when it was on sale in early autumn and it fits true to size with just enough room to wear a lightweight, maybe midweight, fleece underneath for better warmth.
This jacket is meant for high activity wear to keep warm. If you're standing still or walking around town ~40-50s, you must dress appropriately (i.e. warm clothing) or you WILL Freeze!
The down sweater is much warmer than this jacket, hooded or not.
It blocks some wind but is Not windproof but more wind resistant. Won't wear when it's raining as it's not a rain coat but it's advertised to be water resistant but won't chance it.
It can also be worn underneath a shell or insulated jacket as this Nano puff is meant to be worn as a 'replacement' midlayer for a fleece to be warmer. It can be worn alone in warmer weather but NOT meant to be worn alone in colder, winter weather.
The thin nylon shell doesn't appear to be that durable but haven't really tested it in the woods or any other similar places to test its durability.
It's Expensive but is on sale at various times throughout the year in the offseason and can be as much as ~50% off, if you're lucky ;)
