"Shorter than the Wavefarer, still kickass quality" 07/15/11

This my sixth pair of Patagonia board shorts. I'm a swimmer who likes a quick drying, good fitting pair of shorts for doing laps and working out. Freedom of movement is much better than the longer Wavefarers .They fall just above the knee, so kicking is easier. Waistband is good, the eyelets are metal and set into the waistband, rather than the edge. I can reef them in nicely so diving into the pool doesn't mean I lose my shorts. Fabric is solid, chlorine and sun will fade it a little, but it dries nicely. Pocket's big enough for wallet, keys and my lockblade. Only hesitation is this style now comes with a larger plastic button on the fly, will have to see how that holds up,
