"Light weight and warm!" 11/02/10
Patagonia's Micro Puff jackets are great because they're warm and lightweight and feel like nothing on, except when you need it. It may be the best warmth to weight jacket I've ever owned! It does a decent job of keeping the wind out, except on exceptionally cold and windy days.
"This thing is WARM" 09/28/10
I owned my Puff for a while now and I have to say that ounce for ounce its the one of the best pieces of winter gear I own. Last year when I was in Vermont, we had -25 temps with the wind ripping around and all I had to do was tighten up the draw cords a bit and wha-la, I was doing great. The hood keeps your head warm and the wind out, and the mesh pockets are great for holding anything from goggles, gloves and such or even when you want to bring out a beer or two with you. Its a bit roomy in the middle for me (5'11'' 165lbs) but that space quickly warms up and you don't mind. All in all I love this jacket and Patagonia can keep doing what they do best
"Great on cool to cold days, exept for windy days." 02/26/10
I really loved this jacket, it's just TOO BIG. It swallows me. I ordered MED, I'm 5'8" and around 175 - 180 but this thing is HUGE. Maybe it was mislabeled at the factory from Large to Med.Hood keeps warmth in and snowflakes out. Neck did not get cold. During cold snow storms, its not enough. You'd need a heavy sweater underneath. But its so light, has its own stuff sack and interior mesh pockets, are nice. Isn't really made for severe weather so it does fine on most days.
