The Patagonia Men's Hawke's Bay Jacket is a weatherproof down jacket for battling winter's worst in your everyday life. The clean and classy look of the Hawke's Bay stands front and center with a durable, H2No® Performance Standard shell made of a nylon/polyester blend and finished with a durable water repellent for increased moisture resistance. As the shell battles the wind and snow (even rain!), the 600 fill power down provides much-needed warmth against frigid temperatures. Snuggle in at the collar and you decide which days need the hood, it's removable to keep up with your good and bad hair days. The hip length with drop tail hem keep drafts from finding their way up your back and inset knit cuffs do the same for your wrists and arms. Before leaving the house, hide your valuables among the seven pockets, then have a hide-and-seek party with your items when you arrive at your destination.

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. It's cute to think of a fabric as being afraid of water. Now if only they could make a bearphobic coating. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Men's Fit Guide Details & Info
Patagonia's measurements refer to body size and NOT garment dimensions. Sorry for yelling about it.
Each Patagonia product is designed and shaped specifically for its intended use, and below are their generalized four fit descriptions, and details about each fit. The Patagonia fit for each style can be found in the product description features or specifications.
FORMFITTING • Conforms to the body's contours.
SLIM FIT • Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.
REGULAR FIT • Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers. Men's regular fit pants have a slimmer fit through that thigh, lower leg, and cuff.
RELAXED FIT • Drapes loosely on the body. Men's relaxed fit pants have a bit of extra room through the hip, thigh, lower, and cuff.

Great Fall Jacket (or if you live in CA)The fact that there is no drawcord at the waist proves to be a big problem for this jacket. Look out if it's windy. The bottom tends to blouse out and cold air comes right on in. If you try to buy a size smaller, the shoulders and chest will be too small. The other main issue is that this should NOT be marketed as a true winter jacket. I would rate this down to about 30 degrees. The down is very nice, but there is not enough of it to keep you warm. ,,,,It's too bad because this jacket looks awesome and the exterior materials are top notch. If I still lived in San Francisco this jacket would be perfect from October through March.

Perfect jacket and awesome company!!!Found MooseJaw and so lucky I did. The sales tech said they were sold out but she asked me if I could hold while she checked another source. She not only found my jacket but also did a price match!! Too awesome! The delivery was really fast, got a thousand points, gift cards!! Oh yea, the jacket is first class. This is my second one, first one was stolen in canada. Its completely waterproof, extremely warm and the hood is the best fitting of all the waterproof gear I have.,,Moosejaw has earned my bussiness the old fashioned way, by being better than the other guys!!!!

Great Around-Town CoatI'm a huge fan of this Patagonia coat. It's super warm, super comfortable, and looks great! The cuffs and hem aren't adjustable, but it's not meant to be technical gear, more something fashion-friendly. If you're looking for a warm coat to wear out on the weekend, I'd highly recommend!
