The Patagonia Men's Fitz Roy Down Parka is an expedition jacket for belaying the climb, snuggling into your tent, or just plain bumming around base camp. The Fitz Roy starts with a durable, 100% nylon shell, with a durable water repellent finish which repels moisture throughout. A higher sheen can be found at the arms, shoulders, and hood, which increases the DWR finish on the areas that are impacted most by rain and snow. The longer cut and regular fit ensure easy layering and full coverage for plenty of warmth. The warmth is provided by none other than 800 fill power goose down, which is not only super fluffy, but super light. The jacket includes three zippered pockets on the outside for keeping odds and ends secure and an internal mesh pocket for goggles or gloves. When the weather holds off, cram the whole jacket inside the included stuff sack for easy packing into your backpack.

Jacket Shell Fabric:
Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. It's cute to think of a fabric as being afraid of water. Now if only they could make a bearphobic coating. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Men's Fit Guide Details & Info
Patagonia's measurements refer to body size and NOT garment dimensions. Sorry for yelling about it.
Each Patagonia product is designed and shaped specifically for its intended use, and below are their generalized four fit descriptions, and details about each fit. The Patagonia fit for each style can be found in the product description features or specifications.
FORMFITTING • Conforms to the body's contours.
SLIM FIT • Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.
REGULAR FIT • Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers. Men's regular fit pants have a slimmer fit through that thigh, lower leg, and cuff.
RELAXED FIT • Drapes loosely on the body. Men's relaxed fit pants have a bit of extra room through the hip, thigh, lower, and cuff.
