"These are the best shorts, in spite of their weird name" 08/14/11
My husband loves these shorts, so I'm passing on his review: The retro khaki is a bit darker than other products in retro khaki, but it looks good. They are casual, yet can be worn out to a social setting without looking like you just came out of the woods. For guys, the important aspect is inseam, and these are nice and roomy. The waist size is right on (unlike other Patagonia products). They go a little low below the knees, but nothing that makes you look like a teenager. We ordered these and the Patagonia Men's All-Wear Shorts, and ended up sending those tight cut, short shorts back. These are a winner.
"They are nice, but could fit a little better" 04/04/11
They are very nice, I picked them up because they were somewhat cheap for a Patagonia item. However with most things in life, you get what you pay for. They tend to be a little on the stiff side, but not that bad. I like the outseam...and all in all a good walk short for the summer.
"Unbelievable product!" 07/02/10
These shorts are great. In a day when shorts are either longer than Stacy Keibler's legs, smothered in pockets as deep as the Grand Canyon, or short enough that even a leprechaun could wear them comfortably and feel the summer breeze washing over his pot o' gold, these are the perfect length and style. (Disclaimer: This is not to suggest that Stacy Keibler's legs are not the perfect length and style, just that shorts that long would not be, well, shorts).Either classy or casual, these are a great summer wear. Only problem is that I'm afraid I'll get grass stains on them and won't be able to get a replacement since moosejaw sold out of my size!

These Patagonia shorts are phenomenal! They are durable shorts, and can be either classy or casual as you please. I wanted some new khaki shorts, but I always find that unless I get cargo shorts, I can't find shorts long enough to my liking (I like them to go down to just about the top of my knee when wearing the waist at, well, waist high--not sagging with my butt on view to the world). And these shorts are perfect for me. Great length, great material, great look. Another excellent product from Patagonia that I found from the eternally amusing moosejaw.
