European goose down. This Patagonia down jacket has Deluge DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish. Jake Gyllenhaal was totally wearing this jacket when he was getting coffee with that blonde country star. He probably wasn't wearing the jacket that you will own, and I can't guarantee that you will look like Jake Gyllenhaal but you might be able to land that blonde country star if you wear this Patagonia Down Sweater Jacket. She will also probably write a song about you. She writes a song about everyone. This jacket will keep you really warm. So you probably won't even need the coffee or the country star. Please don't tell my boss that I wrote this.

"This jacket rocks!!" 06/12/13
This jacket is fantastic. Well worth the money for an awesome Patagonia jacket. The fit is great for a slimmer body. The jacket feels great, keeps you warm and protected form the elements, and washes well. Two thumbs up!!
"Extremely versatile jacket" 04/10/13
This jacket is just great. Much more versatile and gets much more use than a thicker down jacket. It is perfect as a midlayer in the winter under a rain/wind shell, or as an outer layer in the other months. Packs up very small and is very well made. It is also fashionable enough to wear in the city without looking strange :D Patagonia has become a bit of a fashion brand lately, but without compromising on quality of manufacture, function and a dedication to reducing their environmental impact.Even though it is a little expensive, it is well worth the cost as it should last a long time if you take care of it.
"Best weight to warmth ratio I have ever experienced!" 04/10/13
This jacket is absolutely amazing! I live in Mid-Michigan and practically lived in this jacket all winter! I bought this and the MJ Scruffy Casella around the same time and in combination they kicked old man winter square in the chestnuts!! This jacket packs down to the size of a really large grapefruit and weighs less than a pound! My only complaint is the jackets lack of ability to repel water. This jacket will survive in a very light mist/rain but you will get soaked and cold in anything else. I found that this jacket can fit under my Casella though which repels water amazingly, so problem solved. Shooting myself for not buying the model with a hood!!! Also Pat's ironclad guarantee rocks!
"Great quality, Lightweight, Packable, and WARM. No brainer." 04/04/13
I bought this after my first backpacking trip, needing something that was portable but warm. I can't say I am displeased with my selection. The down sweater is warm in any situation, I especially love it over my R3 fleece or under my rain jacket. The fit itself does seem a bit large, but that does give me the ability to layer something underneath it (such as a fleece). The only thing that I regret is not getting one with a hood.
"One of the best jackets I have ever owned." 04/03/13
So I just counted, and I own 26 jackets. But I really only wear about 4 different jackets, and this jacket is in my top two. I've only had it for about a year, but it has been life-changing. It is insanely warm and does a surprisingly good job at blocking wind. Here in Japan, the winters are not terrible (unless you're in the mountains). I wear this thing from fall to spring and I'm never wishing I had another layer. If I go skiing or climbing, I'll add one more layer on top of this, but then I'm usually roasting. Also, this jacket is very very very light. You hardly notice you have a jacket on. Nuff said.
"Great, warm, comfortable jacket. I just wish it was a little more "fitted"." 02/04/13
I love this jacket as a cold weather, lightweight insulation or outer layer. It does its job well (blocks a decent amount of wind) and retains warmth like crazy. I think it's a very stylish looking jacket, but my only complaint is that it's so huge in the midsection. I have a Large ArcTeryx Atom LT and it fits so nice through the midsection (I'm 5'10", 200lbs), whereas the Patagonia Down Sweater Jacket feels like it just has so much excess material. Not nearly as sleek in comparison. That being said, I still love it and wear it often.
"Light, styliss, and warm" 01/31/13
I love this jacket for the following reasons:(1) super light weight, can be packed to inner pocket(2) very stylish, can wear this jacket without a shell.(3) Can make me still feel warm 30F and above.(4) Since it is so thin and warm, you can buy a soft shell, make a solid winter jacket.
"Awesome Jacket!" 01/30/13
This is iconic jacket in patagonia. It is very popular for many people and I realized what it deserve for the popularity.I think it is very stilysh and practical and even light-weight.Feeling is really awesome. To sum up, this jacket makes me happy!
"Really warn. Super light." 01/16/13
Super jacket. Very warm for it's weight and size. Packs down nice and small into it's own pocket. You can't go wrong with down. Im 5'8 145lbs and went with the small, and it's a perfect fit. Great buy, would absolutely do it again.
"Great jacket" 12/28/12
It may seem light, but you'll be standing in 25 degree weather with this bad boy on and wonder why you can't feel it. Amazing warmth for the weight- put a shell over it and you're good in any active cold weather situation.
"Finally own one, and 100% impressed!" 12/27/12
I've been eyeing one of these for a few months, and after taking advantage of the free overnight shipping sale, I am more than impressed. This jacket is unbelievably light, stylin', and super warm. For all practical purposes, the Patty is pretty unbeatable; I've never owned something with such a great warmth-weight ratio. It also packs to be very small, making it great for travel or overnight trips. My only complaint is the sweater's boxy cut. I'm a skinny guy, but I imagine it's pretty hard for most people to fill or wear in any sort of tighter/athletic way. But, this allows layering underneath while still being wearable under a shell.
