After i bought·it my friend told me Arcteryx phase is better，warmer and more comfortable. But i doubt it，so when i got it i wore it and did some outside experience，just one word coolllllllllll! It make my jogging better,i expect the future when i worn it go to hiking. And i wore my friend's phase too.Yes we wore the same underwear! After wash of course. Not so bad,but competed with c3,just equal.
Great over a short sleeve tee on cool fall days. Planning on using it under an Atom LT and Theta AR this winter skiing, I'm sure it'll be great. Quality seems good so far, It's Patagonia so I'm not too worried.
I was headed to Alaska in July and was told to bring lots of layers. I've been looking for an excuse to spend the money on this and I finally had a reason. I'm 5'10" and about 145 and got a small. It can be a tad tight depending on what I wear underneath. However, I like the look with just a plain t-shirt underneath. It's obviously not windproof or anything, but when I combined it with The North Face Gary Lyon's sweater and a Patagonia Torrenshell, I had the best layering system I could ask for for the weird weather. It's nice and soft to the touch and the collar stays put as opposed to the Capilene 2's. I haven't washed it yet, however, so I hope it holds up well to that. I'm grabbing another one to have on hand.
I went back and forth for a long time deciding on the Capilene 2 or 3. After speaking with a super helpful Moosejaw employee, he pointed me toward the 3 due to its extra warmth. I live in western in PA and spent a chilly free winter last year due to this and the combination of the Capilene 4. By itself it is toasty, lightweight, fits well, and looks great. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm stand alone layer or an amazing base.
This shirt seems nice, but once you wear/wash it a couple times you will be disappointed you bought it.The fabric 'clings' to your body in a static fashion. Also perspiration odors persist after washes. For the same price, there are better mid-weight layering shirts out there
What can I say - this thing fits well, is comfortable under a pretty broad temperature range and looks pretty sharp. For sizing reference, I'm 6'00", 160 lbs and the medium fits pretty well. I don't know it's as form fitting as it's supposed to be, but I'll stick with medium when I order another.
