"Solid Patagucci Joant" 12/18/12
This midweight baselayer is great for fall, winter and spring. Breathes quite well and insulates pretty good without it being tight as a two-dollar watch. The sizing is a big large though. I am 6'1" 185lbs with a 41" Chest and 33-34" arm length and a large hangs off of me a tad bit. I have room to wear a t-shirt under it, even though I was looking for a next-to-skin fit. If you are looking for a trimmer fit as well, go a size down. There was alot of shirt leftover to tuck in. All in all, a great looking and wearing midweight.
"My Favorite Baselayer" 11/26/12
Don't leave home without it! I use this as my go-to baselayer and wouldn't think of using anything else. I typically don't have to wear a midlayer when skiing with temps north of 20F (I'll just use this guy along with my Patagonia Primo Jacket). Sizing does run a bit large though. I'm 6', 175lbs., and have a fairly athletic build and a large is...well...larger than what I would've liked.
"Nice base layer" 11/16/12
Very nice base layer! Not very thick but definitely holds a good amount of warmth in. I bought this in a medium and an Arc'tryx mid-layer in a medium at the same time. This runs just slightly longer in the arms and length than the Arc'teryx. I'm 6'0, 150 pounds and it fits great. Haven't noticed any stinking issues.
"Awesome baselayer, super warm!" 10/15/12
Pro's-Athletic Fit (I'm 5'7 140lbs and the Small fit me just fine...actually I look kinda muscly in it)-Wicks away moisture like no other-Stylish. I have no problem wearing this for a night at the bar-Durable. Con's-None yet, this thing is awesome. This is my first Patagonia crew and it will not be my last, I plan on buying many more. These shirts are awesome!
"better base layer than your own skin" 09/11/12
If you want a base layer that will keep you warm (that's why it's a level 3 Capilene), dry (Capilene), long sleeved, avid outdoorsman shirt then buy this shirt. I've purchased several x3 over the years and am never disappointed. Patagonia tends to run a little large for some reason (or at least every product I've ever purchased from them) which means my 6', 180 lbs frame wears a medium. Definitely do not buy the large unless you were looking for a dress, in which case do buy a large...because it's a dress.
"Great Warmth, Great Ventilation, STINKY!" 04/27/12
If you are single, like me, you probably don't want this product because the whole town will know when you've come down from the mountain. Let me be the first, and the last, to tell you that this shirt will STAAAANK when you are done using it--if you're doing it right. A simple dunk in the river and a hang dry will eliminate some of this, but unfortunately, with this material, you can't ever REALLY get the stank out. Perhaps a washer and dryer would do the trick, but seriously who has a washer or a dryer handy?? Bottom line--it'll perform, no doubt--but that high performance comes with a price.
"Kickass if you find it for a decent price." 04/02/12
Found an Alpha Green small on sale for $30 at REI. I've been pretty much living in the thing for the past week. It's great for slightly chilly spring days when you want a little extra warmth. I imagine with some exertion it'd trap heat and keep you warm in the mid 50's. I'm 6' 3'' and skinny as hell - the small is not form fitting, but I think the shirt may have been as I tried on a small in black and it fill me all snug and sexy-like. Great piece of gear.
"Great fit, comfortable, and awesomely priced" 02/06/12
I'm big on synthetic clothing. It keeps you warm and looks great. I'm usually found lurking through a Nike store and picking up all kinds of their Dri Fit shorts and shirts, but once I found out that Moosejaw was giving 10 dollars off a purchase of 25 I decided to give Patagonia a try. All my roommates swear by it so I figured Hey why not? Boy was I surprised with the fit. The patagonia crew fits better than any of my other crews (North Face, Nike, etc). I thought the medium would be too small for someone who's 6'2, 185 but it was perfect. I'm very impressed and will definitely buy more Patagonia stuff.
