"Keeps my boyfriend warm when I'm not there" 01/16/11
I had a pair of capliene 3 long underwear when I lived in Northern Africa- a very cold place in the mountains and no indoor heating. Now he's there and I got him this to keep his teeth from chattering in bed at night. The large fit him well- he's 6'1" and 150 lbs. He wears them to bed and he says he's no longer freezing at night. Gotta love the capilene!

these capilene shirts are great base layers they fit good with out being to tight like other brands i use these for everything from sking to white water rafting or for cool morning softball games keeps you dry and warm wicks moisture away great to

This is my first experience with Capilene, and while I'm incredibly happy with the fit and feel as well as the overall look, I have to say I was hoping that it would perform a little more like wool in the sense that I can wear a wool shirt for 3 days over a ski or camping trip and it wont smell at ALL. This shirt is ready for the wash after a half day of skiing. Otherwise I think it's a great purchase at a good Moosejaw price.

this is my second cap3 purchase. i now have cap1 fulls and two cap3 crews. these crews are extremely comfortable and the heat+dryness they offer are unmatched in a synthetic fiber based base layer. i've found that the cap3 seem to be the best overall for a "utility" base. the fit is perfect for me as i am a bit tall and slender.

I'm a life time Capilene customer and the #3 is yet another great addition to my collection. there is a very noticeable jump in warmth and thickness from the #2 to the #3. i will say that i'm not sure what has changed in recent years but it seems that on this piece that the sleeve length as well as the over all length aren't as long as other Patagonia pieces. i've always found the length of patagonia apparel has been one of my favorite features and this piece fits great but doesn't have the sleeve length or the length in the tuck zone like i'd prefer. you might have to size up on this piece...

In addition to living up to Patagonia's usual performance standards, the two tone shirts are good looking enough to wear around town as well.I purchased my first Cap3 Crew for myself but, my wife likes it so much that she's ordering this second one for me!

This shirt is great for a base layer or an outer shirt on those cooler days. I have worn this shirt for days straight while on climbing trips. Only bad experience I've had is I left it in my pack after a trip and it stunk, but after washing it was like brand new!
