The Patagonia Men's Bivy Down Jacket is a puffy jacket for keeping the heat in while shoveling the snow. The Bivy Down Jacket is built with a durable nylon canvas fabric to protect the 600 fill power down that has been packed inside. The tough fabric takes on the brushes against the car and has a durable water repellent finish on the shoulders and collar to prevent melting snow from soaking into the surface. The hand pockets are insulated so you have a place to put your hands when your neighbor starts chatting your ears off while you're trying to clear the driveway. An inside chest pocket secures valuables while the snapped placket blocks wind that looks snazzy with shiny metal snaps.
Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. It's cute to think of a fabric as being afraid of water. Now if only they could make a bearphobic coating. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Men's Fit Guide Details & Info
Patagonia's measurements refer to body size and NOT garment dimensions. Sorry for yelling about it.
Each Patagonia product is designed and shaped specifically for its intended use, and below are their generalized four fit descriptions, and details about each fit. The Patagonia fit for each style can be found in the product description features or specifications.
FORMFITTING • Conforms to the body's contours.
SLIM FIT • Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.
REGULAR FIT • Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers. Men's regular fit pants have a slimmer fit through that thigh, lower leg, and cuff.
RELAXED FIT • Drapes loosely on the body. Men's relaxed fit pants have a bit of extra room through the hip, thigh, lower, and cuff.

Zipper failed on fist day of use.So the jacket si very nice. like the material and color. On the first I wore this new jacket, the zipper failed at the bottom. I managed to get the jacket open and examined the zipper. No teeth were missing however there were quite a lot of strings from the manufacturing process protruding around both sides of the zipper. I called and MoooooooseJaw customer service was great. They said I could return it and they hoped I exchanged it.I volunteered to remove the pendants of string which were around the zipper ( I thought the strings could have caused the zipper to part.) and see how the product performed. I mean its Patagonia... right? SO far it has not happened since, if it does, I will let you know here. Otherwise, I really like the jacket soft exterior material, warm, and great color scheme. My only caution is if you have animals as I do, you'll see the hairs on this light colored coat. I hope this does scare anyone from buying this Patagonia jacket as it a very nice coat.
