"Love this bag!! Super simple and easy to use!" 05/21/12
I've used it just a little, but it's still super legit!! The whole thing stuffs into a pocket on the inside, it does pretty well in the rain, and it holds more than you would think! I would honestly suggest it to anyone who needs a solid bag!!!!
"Good day pack to carry if you need to pack it down between use" 01/20/12
It folds up into it's own pocket, super small so its great to take with you in your larger pack or suitcase, and only pull it out when you need it. The downside of it folding up so small is no support for the shape of the pack when you're wearing it. The hip strap also seems to ride slightly too high on me. I found it helps to pack my stuff in a dry bag before putting it in here to help hold the shape of the pack. Also when the rest of the pack is near empty, the water bottle holder has trouble with a nalgene sized bottle and sometimes it will fall out.
"If you pack it right, it rides right" 10/12/11
Enough volume to be useful. Better than REI Travelpack etc. Great overall craftmanship. The shoulder strap doesn't cut into the skin. Good volume in the main compartment, zip pockets for small items, water bottle pockets etc. It's better used fully packed, because when it's partially filled, the bag cannot hold its form. If you pack it right, it rides right.
"Awkward to carry, but convenient." 10/02/11
I recently purchased this backpack and was very excited about it, but it didn't really meet my expectations. While it is super convenient because it packs down into an attaching internal pouch that is like five by four inches, it isn't very practical to use. For one thing, if you have it full of stuff it is very awkward to carry because i is like a little barrel that is right in the middle of your back but doesn't extend to the sides at all. Also the straps are pretty flimsy. Bottom line is that the one thing this would be good for is traveling where you might need a convenient day pack for sightseeing, etc.
