The Patagonia Lightweight Travel Pack is probably one of the coolest things I've seen, and I've seen some pretty cool things in my time. This super light-weight pack is convenient if you need an extra pack to hang on to all of your extra stuff. I know how hard it is to leave some stuff behind, but you don't have to, just fit it into this travel pack. The Patagonia Lightweight Travel Pack is made from an extremely lightweight double-ripstop fabric that features excellent tear resistance, and also features a lightweight foam back panel as well, for added comfort. Okay, I think you get the fact that it's lightweight. Another cool perk is the fact that it can carry water bottles or a jacket in the exterior mesh pockets. Most impressive though, is the fact that the pack stuffs into its own self-storage pocket, so you can take it with anywhere, and pull it out when you need it. I told you it was cool.

Awkward to carry, but convenient.I recently purchased this backpack and was very excited about it, but it didn't really meet my expectations. While it is super convenient because it packs down into an attaching internal pouch that is like five by four inches, it isn't very practical to use. For one thing, if you have it full of stuff it is very awkward to carry because i is like a little barrel that is right in the middle of your back but doesn't extend to the sides at all. Also the straps are pretty flimsy. Bottom line is that the one thing this would be good for is traveling where you might need a convenient day pack for sightseeing, etc.

"I know not all that may be coming, but be it what it will, i'll go to it laughing"After having my car broken into and having hiking gear stolen, including a day hiking backpack, i ventured out in search of a Light travel Backpack i can carry around and take on short roadtrips. I looked in various websites and it became apparent to me that i was in search for a Patagonia backpack, i found this one and to be honest its probably one of the best backpacks i've ever had, its light, the straps adjust well to your body size, and you can stuff it with essentials on any given day, wether you go to work or go day hiking, it doesnt wear you down and its good quality material that is waterproof and your stuff wont get wet if it rains. Overall im satisfied with this buy and without doubt ill buy it again if needed so.

Good day pack to carry if you need to pack it down between useIt folds up into it's own pocket, super small so its great to take with you in your larger pack or suitcase, and only pull it out when you need it. The downside of it folding up so small is no support for the shape of the pack when you're wearing it. The hip strap also seems to ride slightly too high on me. I found it helps to pack my stuff in a dry bag before putting it in here to help hold the shape of the pack. Also when the rest of the pack is near empty, the water bottle holder has trouble with a nalgene sized bottle and sometimes it will fall out.

If you pack it right, it rides rightEnough volume to be useful. Better than REI Travelpack etc. Great overall craftmanship. The shoulder strap doesn't cut into the skin. Good volume in the main compartment, zip pockets for small items, water bottle pockets etc. It's better used fully packed, because when it's partially filled, the bag cannot hold its form. If you pack it right, it rides right.

Love it!!I can't say enough about this little bag. I use it almost daily when I walk my dog and always fold it up into its little pocket and throw it in my pack when I'm out in the backcountry. Plenty of space for whatever you need to throw into it; I've even done one-night trips in the summer with it. -- PLUS it folds up into a pocket.

Disappointed and will probably returnI spent hours on the website trying to choose a super lightweight pack that can go in a suitcase during travels as well as in a backpack to use as a day pack during wilderness experiences. Primary use was for the Boundary Waters (BWCA) for day hikes on those rare 'belly up' days when we spend more than one night at the same campsite and need something to haul stuff on portages when we play during the day. Nothing in the pictures, description, video, or reviews told me that the waist belt is so small (1 inch) and flimsy. I'll probably return the pack and now will not have what I need for a 2 week BWCA trip that begins next week. I even chatted on line when trying to find the perfect pack, but realized now I should have called to talk with one of Moosejaw's very helpful reps. Photos of the back of the pack will help others avoid my frustration. The pack would be near perfect if the waist belt was the same material and width as the shoulder straps. Sorry to be so negative!

Love this bag!! Super simple and easy to use!I've used it just a little, but it's still super legit!! The whole thing stuffs into a pocket on the inside, it does pretty well in the rain, and it holds more than you would think! I would honestly suggest it to anyone who needs a solid bag!!!!
