The Patagonia Lightweight Travel Hip Pack is a simple lumbar pack for traveling new cities and exploring short trails. The 3 liter pack is larger than the mini, allowing you to carry it strapped around your hips, cross-body, or off your shoulder. The two zippered pockets hang onto and organize your small essentials, from snacks to phone, passport and wallet. When it's not in use, the whole thing stuffs into it's own pocket for quick storing in your main suitcase or keeping out of the way at home.

I would recommend this pack for anyone traveling, around town, or light hiking with not too much upI loved the funky colors of this series. It has a retro 80's kinda look with the Patagonia design and functionality. I went to an actual Patagonia store and they didn't have this color. It's a web - only exclusive. And it's cheaper too!! Double woots.,,`

Perfect for essential carry in town or on trail!I've had my eye out for a hip pack sized like this for years -- had an old beater one from years ago, also a Patagonia, that this one updates. When the old one died (about 20 years after buying) the line had apparently died with it. Oh am I happy to have this back again in an even finer version!
Perfectly sized for essential & need-to-have-quick-access items on the trail. I wear it up front back-packing & it holds camera, phone, wallet, notebooks & pens. Surprisingly capacious for its size! Sturdy as can be (that older model lasted 20 years after all & this one is, if anything, stronger). Adjustment straps for tightening to the body.
I bought this soon after the big 2015 earthquake in Nepal and brought it with me when I did relief work. It barely left my body (held all the above). Got scraped on rock and grit and whatever & just keeps soldiering on.
Back here at home I use it for carrying tire patch kit and spare tube while cycling (also phone, wallet, notebooks). And I bring it with me to the gym during my 3 day a week workouts. Holds my keys & wallet & stays out of the way. I run with it, too. Really, it works for anything where pockets are too small and a day pack or messenger bag too big (perfect for hot weather!).
And washes easy, too, just throw it in the machine with the jeans. It looks to me like it will last forever like the old one pretty much did. But thinking ahead I bought another in case it gets discontinued. Too precious to not have. And next trip to Nepal, I'll buy a few more -- the original got some appreciative looks from lots of folks & will be a perfect gift.
