Versatile bag!I have been purchasing Patagonia products for a long time, and this is probably one of my favorite purchases to date! I bought this bag in black and have been using it is a non-diaper-bag diaper bag. I know that is not the intended purpose of the bag, but I plan to use the bag as a regular bag after I no longer need a diaper bag. The black color is "classy" and does not draw attention to itself. I have only been using the bag for a few months, but it seems durable.

Keeping the bag because of its color....I am the proud owner of several pieces of Patagonia luggage and backpacks. I'm a fan, lest you get the wrong impression. Turns out, in 2013, I bought several pieces in the color now known as "oxblood red" (yuck) or dark plum. I love them and have traveled extensively with them. I realized on my most recent trip, that the Refugio bag was too big as the second bag (my first bag is the MLC). Thus began my search for another, smaller bag in the same color. This model, the Patagonia Lightweight Travel Courier in the ONLY courier/messenger style available in this color. I purchased it and, on its own merits, I can only give it three stars. Sad, but true.
The POSITIVE features: it is the right color. The two outside pockets are large enough for each to hold a passport in its case. The material seems durable and it is lightweight. The shoulder strap is very comfortable even with a hefty load.
The NEGATIVE features: The overall design is flawed, in my opinion. The volume of this bag is too small for normal use. Furthermore, and most frustratingly, the zipper on the bag opens to less than 12 inches thus making it difficult to slide a computer in and out. It is not an easy bag to use, if such a thing can be said about a bag. Of course I can get the computer in by sliding it in on an angle and then turning it, but it is a tight fit. To remove the computer, everything has to be removed. The side pockets for water bottles are made of an odd sort of stretchy material that I think I last saw on a slip-cover for a recliner. Also, compared to other colors of the same model, this color (the "plum" was not on sale.
