I am an 8 month old so you probablly shouldnt listen to me. That said...I love this thing. I am a Florida kid but this paired with the "down bunting" kept my tropical ass warm at 7 degrees at 9,000 ft in Colorado. I would totally use this again this winter. I would love to use it again next winter, but know I probally wont fit in it again. Both my parents said they each wish they had one for themselves....I guess it would be called a Snuggie.
"Perfect for variable weather conditions"
Living in Colorado, we know that the weather can be blizzardy one minute, raining the next, and sunny but windy the next. This bunting was the perfect solution for taking out little out on hikes or just out and about. --the double zipper allowed for us to unzip and tuck in the flap without taking the entire bunting off. A new parent's nightmare. --The hood has elastic around the edge so it actually stays on the kids head in wind or when they whip their head from side to side.--the fabric is delicious. Super soft and has just a little give so you can put the kid in the hiking backpack without him being all bunched up.--the fabric isn't as thick as a winter coat, but it sure is warm enough. --the zippered leg holes are good and bad. They're good because you can zip into legs for the carseat and when your little gets bigger and wants separate feet. It's bad because there is a hole in the crotch where the two zippers don't meet... ventilation, though I suppose.
Get yo' baby in this bunting.Finding good outdoor gear for a baby is tricky. You have your mama, your grandmama, your in-law mama, your sister and her friend's mama all telling you what you need to do and what to buy for your baby, most of it being unnecessary. The only mama you need to listen to is me. And the only thing you need to buy is this.If you've read more baby safety advice than your brain can handle you may have come across the "puffy jackets are unsafe in car seats" as well as the car seat inserts, and anything that may seem useful. Enter Patagonia. It's lightweight but VERY warm. Seriously, my baby is an oven in this. Sometimes I don't even need a blanket over her.Three reasons why it's the best option1. safety2. it keeps baby warm in and out of the seat (unlike the Bundle...ER that you have to carry the seat in and out of the house)3. leg zippers for diaper changes. And this is how my baby feels:mbnj km78 n5rtrt ! :DDD
Some instructions might have been nice initially! You have to zip the 2 bottom zippers all the way down and out to change it from bag to legs or vice versa. Easy once you figure it out! Easy diaper changes and when it's in a bag you can zip the bottom zippers down slightly to pass the carseat strap through it too! Not super bulky like a snowsuit and the chest zips will make it easy to make sure your little one doesn't get too warm. We will be using it in my stroller too! Cannot say enough good things about this bunting! Wish I had when my other two were this little and I wish it came in larger sizes!
