The Patagonia Critical Mass 20L Pack is a backpack for bike couriers and commuters. Inside you’ll find a raised padded sleeve to protect your trusty laptop, up to 17 inches. You’ll also find organization pockets for smaller electronics, keys, wallet and your favorite pens. I like the gel kind. Plenty of space in the main compartment for your jacket and lunch. On the exterior you’ll find two water bottle pockets and thin daisy chains to strap a light or bike lock to. Sling the mesh straps over your shoulders and buckle in the lightly padded hipbelt and the shape and streamlined design keeps your load close to your back. Just what you need for better stability on the old two wheeler.

Thick Polyester Pack with Tons of Cushion!I purchased this bag to replace our older ones. Both my girlfriend and I take turns using it. I'm 5' 11" and she's 5' 6" and we each have no issues with weight distribution when this pack is filled to the brim. The pack is made of a thick, recycled polyester and gives you that feel of long-lasting durability. ,,,,Pros: "Iron Clad warranty". Giant reflector in the back. This thing is huge and works really well when we are biking to work or walking along the street in downtown Chicago at night. The "hip belt" hugs your sides and helps with stabilization when you're on the move. The foam-like back-piece is super comfy and allows for you to carry things without feeling it poke into your back. ,,,,Cons: Even though this pack is thick it is NOT waterproof. Note that if you live in a rainy climate, you may want to go with Patagonia's Blackhole pack if H20-proofing is a concern. ,,,,Bottom Line: Practical bag for city life to camping. I expect years of use out of this one!
