"Great hat, very usable design" 05/09/12
This is a well put together product. First of all I am always hesitant to buy a one size fits all type of product, but I bought this one and it fits me well and I wear a size 71/4 fitted hat. This is a very thin yet warm hat. The thin design will work good when I have to wear it under a climbing helmet, not a lot of extra material to worry about bunching up under the helmet.
"Great Fit, Very Warm, Absolutley Love it!!" 07/10/11
i bought this needing something for those cool mornings and nights on the AT in the spring and fall. The fit is amazing doesn't move around and bunch up and stays really warm to help keep me warm. Also it is super lightweight and being Patagonia you know it is good quality! Absolutely Love it
"Superb feel, stylish." 02/28/11
I'm no stranger to keeping the old top warm in the winter.Definitely the best hat I've worn - and I really have gone the gamut on my headgear. I've had the smallish, thin-tight fitting ones to the thickest. Between the two falls this hat. It's pretty tight - which makes sure to lock in the heat, but it's also thick enough so that you know it's really trapping the heat. It's a pretty snug fit, and sometimes I think that's a good thing and a bad thing. And, I suppose I should mention that it doesn't cover my ears completely (keeping me from saying "Love It!") but then again, I have a honkin' noggin. Big ups to Patagonia, though, for once again, making a great product.
"Pretty much perfect." 12/15/10
First of all, this thing is warm. I wore it shoveling snow in a -9 degree (F) wind chill this weekend, and I was toasty. It is also extremely breathable, so it takes a lot to get too hot. Still, I wouldn't suggest wearing it in high-output activities during cool weather, but it's great in a Minnesota winter.Secondly, it's thin and light. Would work great as a base-layer under a helmet. Finally, it looks good. I've only had this thing for about two weeks, but I've already received numerous compliments.Buy this hat. Chicks dig it, and you'll dig keeping your head warm.
"Good for running in the cold weather" 11/14/10
I just got this hat and so far it has been great. I got it for running. My head still gets a bit sweaty but it probably hasn't been really cold enough to need it but wanted to wear it just because it is new and had to try it. It fits perfect on my head, but I have a large to average sized head. The look isn't really as bad as I thought it might be. I wouldn't wear it out and about. But for running its what I needed.
"Finally a Beanie that covers my ears!" 11/12/10
The one size thing usually doesn't work out well for me, but this time the beanie actually fits. Most beanies, including the mtn. hardware one I have been using for the last year, don't come down far enough to really cover my ears all the way and they feel like the are about to slide off the top of my head at any minute. The weight of the material is great for cold weather running and hiking and it warms well under a hood or climbing helmet. All and all it is a great beanie for it's use and at a good price from a trusted name.
"Great Under layer with a tight smooth fit." 11/09/10
This beanie fit my head tight and snug just the way i want it. It is meant to be a base layer to wear under a helmet or hat but I just wear it by itself in the winter so that I look super cool and so that people can't see my bald spot.
"Keeps me warm." 11/03/10
This Beanie (or Toque if you are from Canada) does it's job by keeping my head warm. It has a snug fit and isn't bulky which allows it to fit nicely under a climbing helmet. It is kind of long though, so, if you have a abnormally small head, I wouldn't get it unless you want to use it as a blindfold.
