- Soft and highly water-resistant, ripstop polyester shell is treated with a Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish
- Reinforced 2-layer waterproof panel construction over the elbows and hand warmer pockets prevent wet-through and add abrasion resistance
- 200-g Quallofil polyester is lightweight, compressible and insulates even when wet
- Diamond-quilted construction reduces bulk and maintains even warmth; elastic in back hem provides a secure fit; quilt pattern is larger and contrast patches are new shape for this season
- Polyester lining is durable and glides smoothly over under-layers
- Removable snap hood with three-panel construction and elasticized sides for a secure fit

"Fantastic outerwear for New England winter" 02/19/12
I was hesitant to buy this product at first b/c not having seen it in person, I was afraid it might be too bulky/thick for our 3 year old kiddo. But it's not bulky at all and very warm, so our son would be wearing only a long-sleeve T underneath and he'd be warm enough to play outside in the cold (like in the 30s). My son is currently about 35 inches tall and weighing about 35 pounds and we bought him 4T--the sleeves are a tad bit long so I fold up the cuffs once but everything else fits fine with room for growth; he'll definitely get another wear out of it next fall/winter.
