The Patagonia Baby Down Sweater is a down jacket for the smallest member of your family. Unless the smallest is 8 years old, then this probably won't fit at all, this one is just for babies. The Baby Down Sweater uses 600 fill power down, packed inside a 20D 100% polyester mini-ripstop shell, to provide the little munchkin with warmth that won't weigh them down. The shell is windproof as well as coated with a durable water repellent, so when their first few winters come into town, they're protected. The durable water repellent resists water, so snowflakes can be brushed away before they soak in, and a little drool is easily wiped up. The zipper guard protects their little necks and chins and spandex cuffs wrap their wrists softly to block the drafts. The pockets zipper shut so you can secure their mittens when they inevitably throw them out of the stroller.

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. It's cute to think of a fabric as being afraid of water. Now if only they could make a bearphobic coating. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.
