Rated 5 out of 5 by from More absorbent than I thought! I took this on a one week trip to Costa Rica and used it as my only towel and then proceeded to stuff it at the bottom of my bag every morning after it had hung up all night. Unfortunately, it was the driest thing I had all week. Through rain and swimming and showers, I could dry my entire body with this towel (XXL) and it would be dry in around 5 hours hanging up. Now I wouldn't soak it, but for practical use i.e. drying off, it's very quick drying. I actually was more proud of this little towel than many of my other "quick drying" clothing I brought. Everything would be moist and damp but this towel. I hadn't tried any travel towels before but this one made me really reconsider ever bringing a "real" towel anywhere ever again. I liked this little guy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from These towels left me unlathered and dripping wet at the Great Barrier Reef. Here's the story: I purchased this piece of cut and hemmed ultra-suede material (we'll call it a towel for the sake of this review) for a long trip abroad to Australia. The place I was staying did not supply towels and packing a full-sized towel from home took up too much space, so I was on my own. Here's the bottom-line: had I not borrowed a hand towel from the Holiday Inn prior to setting off on my adventure (don't tell), I would have been wringing wet throughout my trip. This washbloth (personal towel) could not hold soap and would not lather. Actually, I started to use clean sox as my washcoths, something I recommend in a pinch. These "towels" are squares of ultra-suede fitted with a loop. I just returned from my trip and my intention is to return them. I would not recommend this product to anyone whom I liked.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Towels I'm a fan of these Packtowls. Much can be said of the merits of carrying a towel in your pack, and some can argue that these are overpriced for what they are (I tend to agree with them).,,,,Still, these towels are great. They are soft, absorb lots of water, and dry pretty quickly. The little stuff sack is nice, and clip loop is super handy for drying it on the outside of your pack as you walk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Size Does Matter Great towel for hiking, backpacking or a trip on the river. It folds up small enough to stash in your pack, about the size of a small paperback book. It dries quickly, even more so if you can remember to leave it in the sun. But watch what size you order: I have the XL and it's about the size of a bath towel, I have just enough space to wrap it around my body once.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Travelling a lot, this is a MUST HAVE! Ladies and Gentleman, boys and girls, if you are traveling any great distance or for any significant length of time, this is a must have item. My wife and I spent just under 2 months backpacking around Europe, and we each purchased one of these towels, they were outstanding! They are light, don't take up much space, and dry fast. I recommend them all the time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Absorbency in Highly Packable Towel I got this towel after being unhappy with the texture of my MSR Ultralight one, and I must say it's a vast improvement in terms of feel. (It weighs a little more, but it's all really negligible.) Does a good job of getting you dry. The only warning I have is to pay attention to sizes. I got this towel in a large, and it's not very large.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Useful but not that lightweight These towels are pretty useful. They are very absorbent and dry quickly. The loop opens and closes with a snap button which can be quite useful if you are backpacking and want to attach the towel to your pack to dry for example. ,,The smallest sizes (small and medium) are pretty small, make sure you measure this before ordering. Like with most outdoor towels I find it more comfortable to pat myself dry with this instead of rubbing; this might take some getting used to. It helps that these are available in different colors so you can prevent mixing them up with your partner's towel, or the kitchen towel if you own more than one for different uses. Or in my case, when backpacking I prefer having two smaller ones, one for the feet and one for the rest, in different colors. The only issue is that the larger towels are not that light weight. They are not nearly as heavy or space-consuming as regular terry towels but when weight is a real issue then these are still too heavy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go-to Travel Towel I've tried other compact towels but this one is the best ever. It's really soft, absorbs a lot of water and dries up quickly. I find the XL is the best size for portability while still being almost as large as a regular bath towel. I have 4 of them at home and they're very durable.
