The Women's Aria Parka by Outdoor Research. With similar features as The best selling Aria Down Hoody, the Aria Parka takes the warmth and packability of the hoody to new lengths. Hitting just above the knee and with a close-to-body cut, this parka keeps you toasty warm without making you look like the marshmallow man. A removable, adjustable hood and hem cinch allow you tighten in the warmth or let a little out depending on conditions.

"Mmmm, warmmmm" 05/31/11

So this was my first purchase at Moosejaw and my first Outdoor Research purchase. I LOVE this jacket. It's light and so easy to roll up into a beach ball and shove into your backpack or tote.The cut is super femme. It's sporty and dressy. I'm somewhere between 5'4 and 5'5 and the length falls just below mid-thigh. It's perfect for variable elevation gains around here. Dry in the valley, snow in the Cascades.It does "shed" feathers so if you wear a lot of black, be warned. I don't mind it so much because I prefer the warmth. Now, if Outdoor Research could make this jacket hold on to its feathers without changing a thing, I'd be up for getting another.
