"I would recommend this product" 10/04/11
Opened the package on the way to my PCT day hike. Elevation drop was from 7700 ft down to 1200 ft over 16.8 miles. Used the gaiters through the brush with shorts. Never got anything in my boot. AWESOME.
"Great for Keeping Debris Out of Your Boots" 02/01/11
I bought this for a trip up the AT. Didn't end up using them much since it was cool enough for me to keep trousers on, which kept out most of the trail debris. I finally really got to use them this past hunting season. I trekked through mud, ankle deep pinestraw, small creeks, and sandy trails. My socks stayed clean and dry the whole time. I was worried about the strength of the velcro, but it stayed closed even after a day of hiking. I always take them along for any off trail hiking.

I haven't really used gaitors before, but these seem to be great. They are light weight and easy to use. I like the strap underneath the sole of the boot and the strap that tightens around the ankle. For the price they are great and well worth it.

I was trekking through half-foot to foot deep water, brush, and snow and nothing got through. I was never worried that they couldn't withstand the abuse I gave them. They're easy to put on, easy to take off, and rinse off well. The best low gaiters I've purchased.

Typical OR quality. Easy on and off. Work great on my approach shoes. Shoes are dry. I really like the strap/buckle deal. Most manufacturers of short gaiters use string that you must tie and tie, and trip and tie....

I bought these for a trip to Kenya and they worked awesome! The straps are super durable and easily adjustable. The velcro also seals up very well. I had no problem being out walking around in Africa and worrying about bugs or ticks when I used these. I highly recommend these to everyone who enjoys hiking but dislikes insect and tick bites!They also worked well this winter keeping snow out of my boots.

I wasnt sure which to get when it came to gaiters but I am glad I went with the OR! I love them! Super durable, fit great! Will but another pair when or if these ever wear out. Cannot wait to put these things through the ringer!
