Perfect gaiters for Adirondack spring hiking.Anyone who has ever hiked in the Adirondacks during the spring months knows what its like to get a mud bath standing up. There are run-off streams from the summits that create large pools of water/mud on the trails. Unless you take great care placing your feet It is easy to sink up to your knee (or higher) many times a day. These gaiters are great at keeping the mud off my shins -- stopping it from coming in the top and the bottom of the gaiter equally well. The only thing I will change is the underfoot strap. When that wears through I will replace it with a string so I can pull the bottom as tight as possible.

Ok not greatThe gaiters were pretty good for how cheap they were. I took them on a 45-day backpacking trip and they had some holes poked in them and the velcro started pealing up on one. Both were pretty easy fixes with the right equipment. One problem is that the straps at the top tended to come un done and slide down my calves so every once and awhile i had to adjust them. They worked pretty well in shallow water for keeping water out and my pants and calves were grateful to them. These are pretty good entry level gaiters if you are looking for a first pair, but you may want to consider an upgrade.

"Not bad"I used these for a 5 day hike and had no problems. I like the straps on these better than some of the other in this price range. Other people I was hiking with had the strings straps under the shoes and had nothing but problems. The buckle straps worked better for me.

Great Product. Keep your feet dry. These kept my feet dry whether it was a foot of snow or passing through a stream. I had no worries of getting wet and they are made very durably. Great product overall.
