Measuring Guide & Fit Styles

OUTDOOR RESEARCH MEASURING GUIDE
To get the most accurate measurement, use a flexible measuring tape and use the measuring guide info below.

• CHEST / BUST - measure under your arms around the fullest part of your chest.

• WAIST - measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.

• HIPS - measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.

• INSEAM - choose a pair of pants that fits you well and is true to size, hitting at the top of the foot. Measure the inseam from crotch seam to the bottom of the hem.

• GLOVES - for the circumference measure around a flat hand at the knuckles, but do NOT include the thumb. For the hand length measure your hand from the base of your palm to the end of your middle finger. Use the larger of the two measurements to select your OR glove size.

• HATS - measure around your head where the headwear would be expected to fit comfortably.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good liners, good shells, but the two together in 1 package is what makes these my daily gloves! I wear these everyday while biking to work. There are really two gloves here: the insulating liners and the water-resistant shells. The liners keep my hands warm down to about 28 degrees, but keep in mind I am biking so the wind is probably a factor there. I've worn the shells over the liners for extra protection, but not yet by themselves. Either way, they've kept my hands dry enough. Bonus: the rubber grips on the fingers of the liners make it possible to use these with my iPhone, but I'm guessing They'll wear away too much after only 1 season. Also, the back-of-hand pockets make perfect hand warmer compartments!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A great idea, but could use some improvement A great concept, no doubt. I used these gloves all fall and winter biking to work in our lovely Michigan weather. I'd also hoped that they'd function as a good hiking/backpacking glove, as my hands tend to get cold easily, and that just makes things miserable.,,,,The issues I've had: First, craftsmanship. Some of the stitching on my left glove was clearly poor. Some of the finger tips were oddly sewn, which I can feel on the inside of the glove. Not a huge deal, but noticeable. Second, after about 4 months of use, the pull tag at the wrist of one of my gloves snapped. I used them all the time because the gloves do fit quite snug-ly, but that's what they're supposed to be for, right? Third, finally, and most disappointingly, the waterproofing is such that rain beads on the surface, but as soon as actual contact with a wet object is made, the water-proofing is comprimised. So wiping freezing cold rain off my tent fly in the morning with a shammy? Freezing cold hands. Stink.
