"Great soft shell for spring and fall"  08/30/11

I'm 5' 10", 150lbs and a medium fits me great. The coat is great for commuting on a bicycle in the fall and spring and definitely cuts the wind. Don't expect to climb Everest wearing just this coat, though. After wearing this coat for 1 year I would suggest it to a friend.

"Buy This Jacket"  06/16/11

This Jacket is Great! It is stylish and performs well in the elements. Have taken on snowshoeing trips and wear it around town in the Rainy climate of Seattle. I am 6' 5" and 180 lbs and the large size fits me slim and perfect. I think OR is my jacket for life.

"Can take anything"  02/02/11

In the short time I've owned this jacket, its experienced 30mph winds, sleet, powder, slush, torrential rains, mud, and salt spray. Happily I only saw these things, but if you decide you want to be more than an observer you can always unzip it a little. This is also a very comfortable shell. Order a size up to layer, and youll like it. The zippers have a learning curve, but youll get used to them. The only tiny problem is that with the bottom cinched it trends to ride up to your waste, so you have to keep your pants up or the snow will see your plumbers but. And it is cold.

"The Best Softshell I've Ever Owned!"  12/11/10

I've had two of these soft shells over the last 3 years (my first one burned in a house fire) and I absolutely love it! 1. Great price2. Amazing fit and finish3. Absolutely waterproof and windproof4. Nice stretch.. think like a wet suit except thinner and stiffer. In short, this shell is amazing. It's a bit heavy, but bombproof. I've used it climbing, skiing, mountaineering. It's never let me down. Go for it!

"Bomb proof construction and light weight make this a perfect choice for all your winter adventures"  11/29/10

I love this jacket! It's light weight, and keeps the elements out. I originally bought this coat for snowboarding, mountaineering, and winter camping, but it's quickly becoming my go to jacket for all occasions. I live in Montana where winter lasts half the year, so having a reliable coat that keeps me dry and warm is essential. I love the pit zips for when your working hard and the pockets are thoughtfully located. There is even a sweet pocket in the back down low. The zip off hood and snow skirt is also nice cause you can take them on and off to suit your needs. There are draw strings everywhere you'd want them. Overall this is the best coat I've owned.

"Perfection in softshell form"  01/10/10

This jacket is really made well, and I have been very happy with it. OR is a great company and their quality is outstanding. The jacket fits well, and is longer than many of the shells that I own. I am 6'2 175lbs and a large fits quite nicely. I highly recommend this if you're looking for a great all around technical shell.

"all around, every day performer, well made, you will love it"  01/17/08

Love it. It has a soft, smooth feel, almost like a very thin leather, that makes only a slight swishing noise and no crinkling feel, so it is suitable for urban wear. But, cut and features make it solid on the mountain. The fleece lining is very thin, so it is warmer then a pure gore-tex shell, but should not be considered a significant insulater. The collar is a bit stiff at first, but it seems to be breaking in. It is plenty long, well cut I am 5'10, 175, wearing a medium. OR is, I think, the best outdoor gear on the market right now for the money. Arc'teryx quality at 2/3 the price.
