"Great jacket poor fit (for me at least)" 07/23/10
This is an amazing jacket. Great Goretex pro membrane and fantastic pit zips that go all the way down. The cut is a bit boxy and definitely too tight in the shoulders for my taste. If you are seeking a more athletic fit go for MH.
"Awesome and a Half!!" 05/26/10
Upon buying this jacket one may be fairly skeptical as to its water shedding abilities, but this thing is the cats meow! The side zips go from mid arm all the way to the bottom of the jacket to allow for a harness or pack waistband. The helmet compatible hood is rather large if you do not wear a helmet, but the draw cords make it usable. A duckbill on the hood may make you the butt of a few jokes (esp from the GF) but is totally functional and a nice touch! Worn this is rain, snow, sleet, and shine and it just an awesome all around jacket! BUY THIS JACKET! <-- preferably form MOOSEJAW!!!
"Amazingly Waterproof. Very Light" 07/07/09
Just got rid of my North Face Summit Series after using this one. It weighs almost nothing, but still feels durable and tough. I wish the hood was smaller, as I never wear a helmet. But I can't knock it for that, as most all have similar size hoods. The cut is larger than an Arcteryx, but that is a good thing, especially in the waist length.
"Does its job" 04/20/09
I've used this jacket all winter and it has been wonderful. Hood is very large and looks pretty funky when you aren't wearing a helmet. Side zips work well for keeping the jacket out of the way of your harness. Waterproofness is excellent. Packs down extremely small for a hardshell. Great jacket.
"Great Jacket" 11/27/08
I wanted the Arcteryx equivalent, but didn't want to spend the extra cash. I'm glad I didn't, because this jacket is great. Fit's good and has a very technical feel. I've been using this jacket for about a year, and I can't say one bad thing about it. It's that kind of a company...
"Worth the . Bomber shell." 03/26/08
This jacket is pretty amazing. After only being partially satisfied with the Arcteryx Theta AR, I looked to this shell. I was suprised to find that this jacket is slightly ligher than the latest Theta, with more features. The massive pit zips that go to the waste are really cool. I was initially worried that it would weaken the jakcet slightly or that they could come unzipped at bottom, but they are made very well and are pretty burly. I've never owned a hard shell that packs as small as this one also, which is super nice given it's a top of the line mountain shell and not a pac-lite esque type of shell. The fit is better than Arcteryx shells also, without the huge drop hem in back.
