The Men's Foray Pant by Outdoor Research. These lightweight pants with all-season features provide solid protection when a hard downpour sets in for the long haul. Waterproof and extremely breathable Gore-Tex Paclit takes the wear-and-tear of the trail, while ¾-length, double-separating side zippers provide maximum ventilation and allow for easy on/off when the weather breaks. With no bells or whistles left out, these pants work as hard as you do but pack down tight once the weather breaks.

"Great for wet weather hiking" 04/21/11
I used these pants while hiking the Milford Track in NZ and found them to be great in the rain. The 3/4 zips help manage your body temp. They are light and easy to pack away. Have even worn these ski touring the main range, NSW and simply threw on a compression pant underneath. Well worth the price.

What do you do when its raining outside? Do you cower in fear inside your house? Cower no more with these bad boys.I personally love hiking in wet weather, but like anyone else, I hate getting soaked. These pants are super lightweight and are fully seam sealed. I was comfortable recently in wet snow wearing a thin base layer underneath. I never got too hot- these pants breathe well. The fit is good, and the elastic at the cuffs mold to your boot tops. The only downside is that there is only one pocket on your rear. But this is a minor quibble for otherwise great Gore-Tex Pac-Lite pants.
