"Light enough, but maybe not tough enough, to go anywhere." 11/09/11
The front zipper isn't “waterproof”, but there are flaps behind it that keep the water out. There are pit zips from the bottom of the jacket to halfway along the bicep. The PacLite fabric is very waterproof, but weak; it often gets scuffed or snagged on rock and branches. It’s good enough for a torrential downpour. It looks clean and professional. I like the hood. It's just big enough for a climbing helmet. The brim is nice and stiff and I can flip it up. There's also a pull cord around back. There are nice big “alpine” pockets. The zippers aren't in the way of a pack belt or climbing harness. The back extends down low which is nice. There's also a stretchy drawcord along the bottom.

Best rain jacket I've owned. No point in looking at the competition, cause you're not going to find a comparable Gore-Tex jacket in this price range. Synch bottom, velcro sleeves, ample pockets, easily packable, high quality, and lifetime warranty. Also, water basically bounces off the thing. Great.
"Dry and Windproof, isn't that the point of buying a rain jacket." 06/14/11
I am 6'2 225, I got the XL and it fits good, but not much room to spare. It is long enough on my torso, and the sleeves are actually long enough (which is rare, and I like it). The mid section fits good with a t-shirt under it, but I doubt I could wear a sweatshirt or sweater under it on those colder golf days (no I am not fat, just big boned). I bought this for the golf bag, and some hiking. It folds up small, so it doesn't hardly eat up any space in the bag or car. Looks well built, seams are all strong and sealed. I got the black, and yes it is a fashion statement on any course !!
"Super Jacket that doesn't break the bank" 05/15/11
This jacket is awesome, it seriously rivals some of my other jackets that have cost over twice as much. It just works. In Seattle downpours, or wet nasty snow. I like that the hood seems pretty roomy and can fit over hat and goggles while not cramping your goggs when it's all zipped up. The vents work great too. It is pretty light and packs down nice and small. If you're going to encounter serious rain you can't go wrong with this jacket.
