The Men's Crocodiles Gaiters by Outdoor Research. Like their namesakes, Crocs have been around forever. The instep strap is replaceable, and an additional tab holds the front opening down, but otherwise they remain unchanged. "Best Full-length Gaiter Out There!!" 12/19/11
Hands down the best gaiters out there. I bought these to replace an older pair of Crocodile Gaiters that wore out after 20 years of constant use (both summer in the mud and winter in the snow). The waterproof lower fits tightly to any style of boot for a watertight seal. Then the waterproof/breathable upper keeps you dry and lets your leg breathe too. A nice added feature of the newer model is the velcro flap at the bottom of the gaiter; that resists the tendency under heavy use for the velcro front closure to come open at the boot. I have bought these for my father for use in the winter. Now he won't go out in deep snow without the either. You really can't go wrong.

These gaitors are the best. Used them snowshoeing last season a few times and again Saturday in 30" of fresh new powder in the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area north of Las Vegas. I can not imagine any gaitor working any better than these! BAM!!

I used these on a winter ascent of Mt Washington in "white out" conditions. The snow was very deep but luckily with these bad boys I never got any in my boots. They were easy to put on and take off. They are abrasion resistant but like with all materials, punctures will still happen so watch your crampons and make sure you've got these gaiters!

My crocodlies have been through a lot, but still look almost new. The strap that goes under the boot is very durable. They are easy to clean and provide top notch boot coverage. I have yet to get anything in my boots when using them. Awesome product!
"Performs As Advertised" 11/18/11
Took these excellent leg protectors hiking and hunting already this year. Perfect for any activity where you may need a little more coverage up to the knee, where you don't need anything more. I walked out of 16" of snow in these things and stayed dry and warm for over 4.5 hours. I bought the large and they go to just below the knee on me, I'm 5'9". Size accordingly.

Super durable, breaths well and perform great. used these through the west coast trail while it was pouring down rain for 5 of the 7 days. so long as these baby's were under my waterproof pant shell nothing came into my boots no matter if I was slugging through knee high mud or crossing a stream.. highly recommended
