these gaiters keep me completely dry but my crampons snagged and tore a big hole on my first trip. I should have spent a little more and got the expedition gaiters. oh well

"fit well, don't come loose" 		          07/02/09
I used these for 8 days in blizzards and white outs and never had any issues. I wore them with scarpa inverno size 11 and used the XXL and they fit perfectly over the boots with no issues. They dry out fast and keep your feet dry.

The times i have used these have always been good. The rain kept outside of my shoes which is where is belonged. After getting wet feet on a trip i decided to get these and am glad i did.

"Your Feet and Leg's Best Friend" 		          03/29/09
Just came back from trekking through Patagonia. At one point we were hiking to get to a glacier and I took a wrong step and fell into a flowing stream. The water reached to the top of my gaiters. I stayed completely dry. After hiking, camping, and horseback riding through Patagonia, these gaiters are a must. I'll never leave home without them.

"Wonderful! Women can fit Men's sizes too..." 		          02/12/09
These gaiters rock! They hold up against tough use with crampons. I wear a women's size 7.5 boot and then men's small fit perfectly! If you are using gaiters for mountaineering and are using crampons don't go with any other product!

"Water (and probably Snow)" 		          01/15/09
Haven't had the chance to break these out in cold climates yet but they sure keep the water out on flooded trails and creek crossings. Whether making your boots bombproof or just giving your Sunday bests a bad ass makeover these Gore-tex gaiters are a MUST!

"Good product." 		          09/17/08
The velcro makes it a snap to take on and off. The top strap on the Chili is not the actual strap. The gaiter pictured is actually of the OR Expedition Gaiters. I ordered the Chili color because the pictured showed the same velcro strap as the Expedition which I wore on my July 7, 2008 summit of Mount Rainier. A friend of mine wore the crocodile gaiter and his buckle on the top strap broke. Highlight the different colors of the Crocodile Gaiters and note the different strapping system at the top of the gaiter. The Expedition is much better. I ask MJ about this and they said they just use the props from OR, but would be more than happy to exchange, great company!

"Made it up, over, under, and down." 		          09/15/08
These are probably the best Gaiters in it's class. I used them on Mt. Rainier and so did 5 other climbers. They held up well against snow, ice, scree, and my crampons. Only note is that you have to size up if you are wearing boots (which is what they are used with).

"Gaiters keep your ankles / feet dry but also keep out sticks and pebbles. yee haw" 		          08/06/08
After tearing up 2 pairs of EMS gaiters in as many years I went with the OR Crocs. Only used them a few times but the higher quality of the construction was noticeable immediately. Really cool design... fits great on my Asolo 520's.

Able to create great seal around my hiking boot and above my calf. I was astonished when these gaiters kept water from going in my boots on a creek crossing. Great fabric.
