"Warm, Nice fit." 02/15/12
I bought this beanie after over-using my other beanies (I'm told that's a fashion no-no). The fit is a big snug (width), but plenty deep to cover your ears. I've worn this beanie a couple times in sub-freezing temps for day hikes and it keeps the noggin warm! It's wool construction resists funk even after sweating, and wool insulates even when wet (Jackpot!). A liner on the inside keeps the wool from itching around your ears and face. I have but one complaint; it's dry clean only.
"Great warmth to weight!" 02/03/12
I have owned at least 20 different beanies and I have to say that this beanie is hands down the best warmth to weight ratio. The cut of this beanie is quite awesome as well, as it covers the entire back of my neck and ears with ease. The beanie is sort of stretchy, and at first it looks like it would let wind in, but it does a decent job (it is far from windproof) at not being decimated by the wind. On winter hikes I just throw this on over a visor and I have warmth and some sun protection and it fits great. Dries quick and maintains its warm retaining abilities while wet. I have put it on straight from the washer and it has been quite warm.
"A cap that look good and keeps your head warm" 12/03/11
Got this bad boy in today and will not take it off. Soft flees lining around the ears feel really good. The only bad thing is that it one size and that size is big. Wish OR would of sized it just a bit smaller. (i have an avg size head)
