"Fit Perfectly" 		          09/27/09
These Gaiters are top notch for sure! They fit securely, and cover up almost all of the vulnerable parts of the boot. I have only had a chance to use them once, but it was some hard alpine trekking, and now I know why my guide recommended these, awesome!!!

These are amazing. The material is so bloody durable and water resistant. The straps on the bottom hold up extremely well from the punishment you can dish out on them. And the velcro holds strong.

"Best I've Owned" 		          02/24/09
I've several different gaiters. These are by far the most durable. Have held up well against crampon abuse. The XL fits perfectly over my size 12 plastic boots, and the velcro closures hold tight. More expensive than most but these are worth it.

"Keeps ya dry!" 		          12/17/08
Well made product. The sizing on these things is a bit broad, kinda too big. I wear a 10-11 boot depending and got the XL (10-13). I could have gotten away with a medium probably, a large being optimal. But the XL DOES fit. The range is just so broad, its really better if you try a set on first. But all is well, all I have to do is cinch mine down and they fit fine! Good stuff.

"Big and Tough" 		          10/23/08
These are a beefier version of the OR's Crocodile Gaiters. Their built like a tank but also built larger to fit over plastic boots and thick layers. They work great but only if you're wearing the extra layers and a large boot.

"A well designed product.. Worth the money" 		          06/28/08
This are good gaiters. These gaiters do what they are supposed to do, keep you dry. If you get warm during a climb, I found that folding them half way down helped regulate temp. The lower section, which is subject to the most abuse, is made with 1000d Cordura for toughness, and lined with packcloth to reduce abrasion between your leg covering and the Cordura. A nylon-supported rubber instep strap goes around the bottom of your boots, to prevent the gaiters moving up. The strap looks kind of flimsy, but is tougher than it looks.. I used them at high altitude in snow and they performed well. I only wish that they had a longer tongue to overlap my laces to protect them better from th

"The Best you can get!" 		          06/15/08
Best Gaiters, hands down! Easy to put on, I have used most of the other brands out there. The big plus is they fit big boots! I have had problems getting other gaiters to fit over my size 14 foot with Double Plastic mountaineering boots, not these they fit great. Clearly these are the best! I have used them on Cho Oyo to Rainier, they are great.

Love these gaiters. They worked great on my mountain climbing trips. I would say that these gaiters really only need to be bought if you plan on using plastic boots or if your wearing a ton of layers.

These gaiters are great of you have to wear down clothing. OR makes very high quality products and it has always held up on my expeditions. I used these on my last trip to Nepal.
