Fits great, convenient & rugged.I bought these to use with my trail runners and they work great to keep out the bugs, dirt, moisture and other things that can easily get in most low topped trail shoes. I got a pleasant surprise when I tried them on with my Vibram Five Finger TrekSport's and they work great! Just use a little shock cord loop around one toe to hold the front hook in place and the rest fits perfectly. Lastly I have not had any issues with crawly critters coming up my legs thanks to the Permethrin these are treated with.

Great Strap, Good Closures, Not very breathable.I'll tell you this much, I havent had any bugs run up my pants.,,,,The gaiters work as advertised. The dual velcro closures are secure and the elastic holds well on the boot.,,,,The top elastic is a big large for me and there is no adjustment but the fabric is stiff enough that they dont fall down. I can imagine with shorts I might get some dust down the top. Speaking of the fabric, it doesn't seem too breathable as I get a bit sweaty around the ankles.
