"A must have"  12/02/11

The first night out with this bivy, it rained and rained. In the morning, I was completely dry. It does take some time to get over the compactness of the bivy. I had a Exped down mat along with a -15 degree bag along with me (6'3", 225 lbs) it was a very cosy fit, but tolerable. It will be a well used tool in my camping/climbing arsenal.

"It's a nice bivy but it's still a bivy"  08/30/10

The nice thing about this bivy is that it is bombproof. The Goretex keeps the rain out. The poles give you some space to sleep in and keep covered. The downsides are that you still get condensation in the morning. The bug mesh could be a hassle. I just took it out seeing as I wasn't using this during the summer. The poles require you to open the hood to thread the inside pole. This means getting water inside if it's raining. As far as bivies go, it's not the lightest. It may be more comfortable to sleep in than most others, but still not match for a tent.

"Snug as a Bug in a Rug"  05/08/10

Bought this for my husband who tells me he never knew such a wonderful products existed. Easy to get into and had no trouble rolling over in the night. The lock-together poles held their own on our trip and made setting up a breeze. The only draw-back hubby says is that he could never stay awake long enough to enjoy the starry sky through the mozzie net.

"Worth every dllar!"  05/01/10

The weather in Patagonia was no match for this bivvy. Coped wwll with all types. Very easy to set up after practising at home first. Love the netting option for a clear view of the night sky. Only minuses were the snug fit when combining a Thermarest NeoAir and high-loft sleeping bag and the need to secure the main zippered section in order to fully benefit from the netting to admire the sky. I still however feel this was one of the best investments I have made for travelling.

"Worth every Dollar!"  05/01/10

As a woman traveller in Patagonia I found this extremely easy to set up after first practicing at home. The Bivvy coped well with all weathers experienced. The netting is a big ++++. The only minus was the need to rig up a system to hold the main zippered section back so the net was exposed enough to see the sky (no problem if you plan ahead for this). The other minus was the snug fit when combining an airmattress and high loft sleeping bag. Still however worth the investment.

"Never leave home without it"  01/24/10

I got this bivy over christmas this year, and have used it 6 times already! Kept me dry and had plenty of room! Used it snow camping 2 of the 6 times and never a leak. Foot vent is awesome and can't go wrong with the netting on those clear nights.

"Amazing. Must have if you want to stay dry, mobile, and comfortable."  09/09/09

I am attending the University of Michigan and I bought this tent for the school year (Yes, I am tenting, hopefully all year). The first night I went out it was difficult to set up (Probably because it was raining and dark out).FAST! Set up. Also, it keeps you 100% dry. It is cozy for sure but the netting that can be used for ventilation around the face area is AWESOME as you lay there at night looking up and the stars and moon. I wasn't sure if I would be able to make it all winter with this set up but with the Advanced Bivy my confidence is extremely high. It also does a great job blocking the wind which keeps you warmer. WORTH the $299!!!!

"Nifty and durable."  10/09/07

This is a wonderful invention. The pole makes it easy to read and relax inside the bivy without making you feel claustrophobic. The bug net is a nice addition. I definitely prefer this over a tent for solo ventures.
