Don't let the daypack size fool you, the Osprey Women's Sirrus 24 Pack has all of the toughness and quality found in backcountry packs. With a harness that our commmenting custys love, a stretch mesh backpanel, and a hipbelt, this bag has got your back when it comes to comfort. (That was an intentional super punny pun.) Access your gear from the large panel access, the two mesh pockets on the sides and hipbelt pockets. Keep that gear tied down and the bag low profile with the various compression components on the top of the bag and on the side mesh pockets. This bag is hydration compatible. Product Technology: Osprey Airspeed, Osprey Peripheral Frame
Gender: Womens
Osprey Airspeed

Osprey Airspeed
Using peripheral suspension design this lightweight, three dimensional suspension eliminates foam and backpanel materials and replaces it with lightweight suspended mesh. Three dimensionally shaped to allow maximum airflow and optimal tension and load carry sets Osprey apart from other tensioned mesh backpacks.

Osprey Peripheral Frame

Osprey Peripheral Frame
Peripheral frame was a departure from the norm many years ago and it’s still the foundation of our gear hauling packs. A wire frame runs along the outside of the backpanel directly connecting the upper load lifters and the central core of the pack to the hipbelt to transition and spread the load. Allowing natural torsional movement, effective adjustable torsos, and different load range and backpanel builds makes this suspension design truly innovative.

OSPREY MEASUREMENT GUIDE

Please note that the info provided above refers to the torso size each pack will fit, and NOT any dimensions of the pack. Below are some steps for how to get your torso length. You should probably have someone help take this measurement for you so it is accurate. And they might accidentally touch your butt.

HOW TO MEASURE TORSO LENGTH:
• Start at the iliac crest, which is the top of the hipbones on the side of your body. These act like a shelf for supporting a pack hipbelt.
• From this level on your spine, measure to the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck when you put your head down.
• Make sure you keep your back as straight as possible while measuring.
• This torso measurement determines what size Osprey pack you should carry. Refer to the size charts above to find your ideal size.
• If you are in between sizes, it is ideal to try them both on before ordering.

HOW TO MEASURE HIPBELT SIZE:
• Measure around your hips at your iliac crest, NOT your waist.
• A properly fitted hipbelt rides centered over the hipbones and needs to be very snug.
• The padded portion should wrap well around your hips, leaving a gap of 3 to 6 inches between the tips of the both hip pads when securely tightened.
• Refer to the Hipbelts size chart above to help determine your ideal Osprey pack size, but again, your torso length is what should determine your pack size, NOT the hipbelt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for day hikes and adventures where you don't need to carry a lot! I already owned a Osprey backpack for overnights trips when I purchased this day pack, so I already loved the Osprey brand. The only major downside to this pack I've found is that it is small. But you can opt for the larger size if you want more room. I've found that it's big enough to carry plenty of water, snacks, extra layers, and other necessities like a headlamp and first aid kit. It keeps me from overpacking on a day hike. The pockets on the hip belt and the shoulder straps are nicely placed and are so useful! I also love the mesh pockets on the side. There are enough pockets that I can keep my items organized and easily accessible without going overboard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing gets better than this! This is the best daypack I've every worn. I wanted to try the Sirrus 24, but was thinking it was going to be too small. I was pleasantly surprised at how much space is inside the pack. I can fit everything I need for a 3-day hiking trip. I love the way the straps hug my body, which keeps my arms from rubbing against them while hiking. When measuring for fit, my spine was 17" so I ordered a small and a medium to see which fit best. The small hip belt actually rested above my navel, so I decided to go with the medium, which put the hip belt comfortably beneath my navel. This pack is super comfortable, breathable, and I even like the nice purple color. I'm loving Osprey!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Perfect for all things, except maybe biking I've been searching for the perfect backpack for my bike commute to work. It appears I am very picky. While this is a lightweight backpack with plenty of handy storage options, the straps are not as flexible as I would like. The thick straps didn't give for my narrow shoulders and rubbed my neck awkwardly. However, the sturdy straps are most likely a wonderful feature to those wanting to use this for hiking or other activities. So all in all, great pack just not what this finicky biker was looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, comfortable and practical! This day pack is amazing. I was sick of day packs with uncomfortable harnesses. The Sirrus is super comfy, no more bruised hip bones! It's just the right size to fit my SLR camera, small tripod, a fleece and food and water for a day trip. The zip pockets on the harness are big enought for sunscreen, sunglasses, a map and some trailmix, all those things that are handy to have quick access to! The built-in rain cover has come in handy on several occasions. All in all, a great day pack!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for weekend trips! The Sirrus 24 Pack is wonderful! I'm 5'4'' and ordered the small. The bag sits just above my butt so I can attach gear underneath if needed. I use it daily for caring my climbing gear to and from the gym, as well as weekend climbing trips. The inner frame is great for stability and the back is breathable and cool. Though, if you are looking for a larger bag upgrade to the 36. You won't regret this purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you have girl power you need this!!! I've used this bag for everything from day hikes to mom/daughter trips to the beach. It's a perfect size for needed gear along with my camera. The color is great, which helps keep me looking good on the trail. Lol. The compression straps allow you to carry smaller loads & pull it smaller. All & all this is a must have if you are the outdoorsy type chick or the big city girl who needs to get around!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just purchased and promptly returning... Purchased this for a two-week trip to Italy. Had researched Osprey in the store and then went online. Found this and thought perfect size, color and minimal design element on the front. Didn't want a top load. When compared to the Talon (S/M in both) the fit in this is terrible. The Talon holds the bag close to the back and this one is uncomfortable on the shoulders/upper back. It sits too far out from the back. The biggest issue...the built-in back curve/support. It takes up entirely too much room in the pack. Lastly, the buckeyes on the top left and right do not "lift" off the bag which makes it difficult to grab and unclasp. They should be on a strap. I only wanted it for a large carry-on and it doesn't fit the bill. Too structured and uncomfortable. Make this gray/green color and simplistic design in the Talon and I'm sold! My husband says "massive amount of hardware for minimal space."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Osprey is the bomb I have three different osprey packs. One for when I hike the AT at the end of this month. The sirrus ( the pack listed up above) great for day hikes! Osprey isn't just a quality brand, the company will replace any pack that malfunctions ( as long as its the product and not the user) Never in my life heard one bad thing about this company.
