"Very good hydration pack, well designed, nice workmanship, and comfortable." 02/11/12
I've had several Camelbak hydration packs. In fact, I still have one of the originals from the early 90's. I was hesitant to change manufacturers, but I'm glad I did. The Viper is very lightweight and comfortable. I purchased my Viper 7 from Moosejaw about 6 months ago, and I have not had the need for aggressive cleaning I experienced with my former Camelbak packs. I'm currently looking at the Viper 10 or Viper 13 to add to my hydration collection due to the increased fluid and cargo capacity. I highly recommend Osprey hydration packs. By the way, I'm a cyclist....primarily mountain biking, but also road bike. Enjoy!
"Mountain biking? Get This Now!!!!! DO IT!!!!!" 05/11/11
My mountain bike is full suspension, which, the placement of the rear shock on the frame doesn't allow me to put a water bottle cage on it so that getting the botte on and off is convenient. So I decided to try either this, or a Camelback. Let me tell you, this thing rocks!! What set this apart from the camelback was three things...1.The valve is magnetized and sticks right to the chest strap. SWEET!!!! 2. Storage - Camelbacks don't offer much by way of storage, unless you want to pay extra. And 3. The price!!! compared to the competition, this thing has pulled away!!! Water Capacity is 2.0 L, and it was enough to get through a 20 mile Mtn Bike Race last weekend.
