It features a drawcord closure with a snap attachment and taped seams, and it packs into its own pouch. Comes in four sizes to fit a variety of packs. Your pack and this raincover will be inseparable. They'll join the ranks of epic power couples like Michelle and Barack, peanut butter and jelly, Donny and Marie. Wait, they're siblings. That's weird. Nevermind.

"Overall this is a great pack cover, keeps things dry, but a bit overpriced..." 01/03/12
The pack cover has worked well both while carrying my pack in the rain and while covering the pack at a campsite overnight. The large size is big enough to cover my Osprey Aether 70 with a therm-a-rest strapped on the back, and has enough extra room to wrap up the (mostly empty) pack at night to save room in your tent or vestibule. The cover packs very small and is light weight. It's a tight fit to stuff the cover, but it has held up well through a couple years and several trips. If you care about brand this is a good option, but if not, you can get comparable stuff cheaper (you are paying for the Osprey brand name here).
"Great to have" 11/30/11
If you are going to fork out a lot of money for an Osprey product, than a little extra won't hurt. Fits securely around your pack. I have the 85L backpack and it fits great and it will give you confidence that your stuff won't get wet.
"The Osprey Products are top quality products that you can use on an Adventure or for everyday use!" 10/14/11
I use my Osprey Talon everyday. I use it to carry my gym gear, my ipad2, ipod, mags, headlamp, camera, HD hero, etc... you get the picture. It goes everywhere with me.When I travel, I use it as my backpack. I go on a lot of Mission trips and the full functional Talon meets all of my Travel needs!Since the Talon is not waterproof this essential rain cover is a must. You can not go wrong with any Osprey product.
"MUST GET THIS!!!" 08/18/11
I arrived in Venice and was welcomed by pouring rain. I did not want to spend money on taking a boat because it still would not get me close enough to my hostel so I put on my Osprey UL Raincover and pulled out my map and began my trek. If I did not have this cover all of my things would have gotten soaked. I roamed the streets and canals for almost two hours before I found my hostel, and my back pack did not get wet at all thanks to my Raincover!! This is a must have for any avid backpacker!!
"Awesome" 07/26/11
Osprey understands packs. It's no surprise that their pack cover exceeds basic pack-cover expectations. First of all, it is light and strong! Very great material, of course, water resistant and packs into its small bag slightly bigger than a big man's fist. nice! Also, I like the draw string pull at the top of the thing that allows you to fit it easily and secure it on any pack. As a bonus, there's also a snap across the middle that keeps it extra secure. And for the price! wow, prob best pack cover out there in my humble opinion...but I did just make a hot-banana sandwich. (banana in hotdog bun with peanut butter...)
"A dry pack is a lighter pack. Definitely worthwhile to keep your gear from getting soaked." 05/02/11
This rain cover fits my Aether 70 really well. The cover fits into its own pouch (attached) and is pretty lightweight. There is a snap to pull the sides together across the middle (behind your back) which helps keep more of the pack under the rain cover. Once the drawstring is cinched down, your pack is going to be a lot dryer than anyone caught without a cover. Having all your gear get wet sucks, and so does carrying all that extra water weight.
