Product Description Item No.   10270420

The Osprey Syncro 3 Pack is backpack hydration built for biking that can easily be used for a trail hike or off-trail jaunt. The Syncro 3 is a 3 liter pack that comes included with the 2.5L Hydraulics™ LT reservoir, allowing you to strap your drink to your back. This leaves just enough space for organizing a few bike tools on the inside of the pack, jamming a shell jacket into the front shove-it pocket, and even a LidLock™ to hook your helmet to when you're not wearing it. The AirSpeed™ suspension is all about breathable comfort, providing enough support for carrying your H2O while keeping your back cool. Clip the webbing waist belt and sternum strap closed for a stable hold that leans with you through the turns.

FEATURES of the Osprey Syncro 3 Pack

  • 2.5 Hydraulics LT reservoir
  • Hydration Syncro 3
  • J-zip front tool organizer

Osprey Peripheral Frame

Osprey Peripheral Frame
Peripheral frame was a departure from the norm many years ago and it’s still the foundation of our gear hauling packs. A wire frame runs along the outside of the backpanel directly connecting the upper load lifters and the central core of the pack to the hipbelt to transition and spread the load. Allowing natural torsional movement, effective adjustable torsos, and different load range and backpanel builds makes this suspension design truly innovative.

OSPREY MEASUREMENT GUIDE

Please note that the info provided above refers to the torso size each pack will fit, and NOT any dimensions of the pack. Below are some steps for how to get your torso length. You should probably have someone help take this measurement for you so it is accurate. And they might accidentally touch your butt.

HOW TO MEASURE TORSO LENGTH:
• Start at the iliac crest, which is the top of the hipbones on the side of your body. These act like a shelf for supporting a pack hipbelt.
• From this level on your spine, measure to the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck when you put your head down.
• Make sure you keep your back as straight as possible while measuring.
• This torso measurement determines what size Osprey pack you should carry. Refer to the size charts above to find your ideal size.
• If you are in between sizes, it is ideal to try them both on before ordering.

HOW TO MEASURE HIPBELT SIZE:
• Measure around your hips at your iliac crest, NOT your waist.
• A properly fitted hipbelt rides centered over the hipbones and needs to be very snug.
• The padded portion should wrap well around your hips, leaving a gap of 3 to 6 inches between the tips of the both hip pads when securely tightened.
• Refer to the Hipbelts size chart above to help determine your ideal Osprey pack size, but again, your torso length is what should determine your pack size, NOT the hipbelt.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Will Ruin Your Electronics Light and simple. And it will, because of a serious design flaw, ruin your electronics. This seemed like the perfect hydration pack until the first time it got wet. The Syncro is being sold as a cycling hydration pack. Even if not riding in the rain, a typical mountain biker is crossing streams, riding through mud and getting as dirty as possible. This means water will be kicked up from the tires and right at the zipper pocket. What might people carry in the zippered pocket? Electronics, phones and modern, electronic car keys. The important things go in the zippered pocket. The problem is that the zippered pocket is the same thin material as the rest of the pack. No lining. No nothing. The pocket is a couple layers away from the hydration bladder which means Osprey knew there was a problem with the thin pack material but they didn't think it was worth it to make the zippered pocket, at the very least, water resistant or even splash-proof. So, if there's no way you'll run the risk of having water splash onto your pack, this is a good pack. Otherwise, stay away. Stay very far away. The risks are too great.
