"Wonderful Pack - Great Design"  02/25/12

I purchased this pack for light weekenders and it does the job perfectly. I love the exterior pocket design (Two on the hips, one on the shoulder, and two reachable top pockets) which allows me to do all kinds of things while not stopping to take the pack off. The suspension and "air-scape" system is awesome. It holds 25-30 pounds exceptionally well and keeps air between my back and the pack. Less sweat back there is great! My only small beef is it does not have an exterior mesh stow pocket which I would use for quick stashing extra layers, etc. Although it does have a second main pocket accessible by exterior zip. All in all, one of my favorite packs. Great job by Osprey!

"It works in every way."  10/30/11

I really like this pack in so many ways. Comfort is #1. fits me like a glove. It has extra little pockets all over the place and in accessible places. My knife, light, camera and such all fit in the strap pockets so I don't need to take the pack off to access them. Fits plenty. I've put tent, sleeping bag, clothes, food and gear in this for a 3 day trip and been just fine. With a little bit of strategy I've used this pack in place of a 65 pack with little sacrificed. Durability has been no problem. The webbing keeps your back cool. And yeah, can't forget that it's a cool color and looks more legit on the trail than most packs of similar size.

"This pack rocks"  09/08/11

This is a great pack, I use it primarily for setting up climbs as it's more than big enough to hold the rope, harness, etc. My favorite features are the tightening straps which are placed in the right areas to make tightening up the pack properly super easy, the helmet clip on the silver band with boxes, and the shoulder/hip pads. The packs shoulder strap system is highly customizable and the hip pads do an excellent job at taking the weight off of your shoulders, all the pads are extremely breathable and comfortable. My only complaints are the pack can move your CG a little too much for my liking and it can also get annoying having the airspeed in tight places.

"Great Bag for Rock Climbing"  12/04/10

This is a great bag for those day trips where you're bringing an unusual amount of gear (say rock climbing or being a pack mule for the family). This bag has a lot of great features and lots of storage. On of the nicest features is the ability to open up the front like a panel loading pack but still have the space and compartments at the top of the lid. It makes taking out big items (like a rope) much easier. Because of the lid, you can really adjust the size of this pack depending on how much you need to carry. And the included rain cover is also a great feature. These are the features that made this a winner over the similarly prices & sized Atmos 35.

"Excellent midsize pack-comfortable, light, great features"  11/15/10

I lived out of this pack for 2 months in Peru and Colombia (pack light and this size bag is great) and it survived being lashed to buses, dragged through dirt and sand, and stood on to reach high places. Overall I would recommend this as a light daypack or travel bag (it does fit carryon compartments). The semi-external frame and mesh back make this comfortable for even long term wear, but is awkward shaped in some situations- it is almost impossible to lean this bag standing up against a wall, for example. Additionally, the curve shape of the bag makes it incredibly hard to reach anything in the bottom of the bag when full. Other than these complaints, this is an excellent bag.

"Excellent Big Day Pack"  10/24/10

I love this bag when I can fill it. It's not a one-person bag for shorter hikes or an overnight bag for me as it lacks a sleeping bag compartment and isn't quite big enough. It's great when I'm out all day or with my kids as a pack mule. It holds all of our water bottles, insulating and outer layers, and plenty of lunch. It carries beautifully and compresses well when lunch is gone and some of the layers are in use. It fits me (6'6") great in large. I love the back panel, harness, and hip belt: plenty of support and ventilation. Osprey packs are well thought-out and executed. The integrated raincover, hip belt closure, and pole attachment system are great ideas that work. Nice job, Osprey!

"Quality, sizeable, light"  03/09/10

Was bigger than I expected, extremely light and spacious. Haven't used it yet but can tell it's quality and it'll be great for day-hiking--definitely has plenty of space for everything I could possibly want to take and more.
