"If you're skeptical, don't be. Buy this Pack!!" 06/13/09
Awesome pack! The only downside to the pack is its concave shape of the "aircore" cooling system. It does restrict the carrying capacity of the pack, but with some internal packing adjustments this is not really a big issue. Super comfy, carrying 16pds +/-, and the aircore system is a plus, especially if you live in South Texas. Many thanks to the BIG MOOSE!
"Bossome." 03/23/09
Love this pack, it's just big enough for a minimalist summer/spring/fall overnighter and a good size for longer dayhikes. Two outside attachment points in case you need to strap something extra on the pack as well. The zipper is also heavy duty and doesn't snag much. The best thing about this pack is the frame and aircore, fully loaded it feels lighter than most medium sized faux frame/frameless daypacks/camelbacks. The aircore is awesome, especially with a half frozen bag on summer days, but it does dramatically reduce what you can fit in the pack. The osprey 24 holds a bit more stuff, but it's just big enough to feel like a real pack, instead of something that can pass for a daypack.
"Great Pack" 08/06/07
I got the Stratos specifically due to the Air Core back. It keeps my back relatively dry, fits great, the shoulder straps are very comfortable, and it holds gear for a day hike perfectly. I have other Osprey packs wish they were still made in CO however and love them all. Thanks Moosejaw for such great service.
"Check it out, i guarantee you wont be dissapointed" 07/07/07
great day pack!!! had it in israel this past month the mesh aircore is ideal for insanely hot conditions. I would recommend for cyclists, section day hikers, anyone going to death valley. pack is bladder capable but does not come with one. It's great for everything.

"I wish my brother had not had to find a returned... tag inside his gift." 06/27/07
I purchased this pack for my younger brother, at full price, at the Birmingham, Michigan Woodward Ave. location approx. two months ago. A few days ago he called me to say that he had finally used the pack. He also told me that inside of the pack was a Moosejaw slip which stated the pack had been returned due to a faulty zipper. It is not clear whether the pack was fixed and then re-shelved. It is unclear whether the zippers will fail at some point in the future or not. The situation is minor, but nevertheless unfortunate. It's just tacky that he had to find the slip and question the quality of his gift.
"great customer service" 06/11/07
I haven't left for my trip yet...so I haven't used the pack. I do appreciate the great sales help I received in picking the pack. There are many features that can be adjusted to get a comfortable fit...while I would not have known without sales help.
"One spiffy pack!" 11/27/06
THE OSPREY STRATOS IS ONE SPIFFY PACK! (IF YOU BUY 2, THEY WILL BE 2 SPIFFY PACKS.) THE "AIRCORE" SYSTEM PREVENTS SWEATY-BACK SYNDROME, AND THE PACK ITSELF DOESN'T PULL ON YOUR SHOULDERS BLOCKEDKEYWORD THE WEIGHT STAYS EVENLY DISTRIBUTED. I'M STILL BREAKING IT IN, BUT I'M PLANNING TO USE IT AS A HYDRATION PACK ON BIG MULTI-DAY MOUNTAIN BIKE EXPEDITIONS NEXT SUMMER. I'M A BIG FAN OF OSPREY - BOUGHT MY FIRST OSPREY PACK ABOUT 15 YEARS AGO (SLIGHTLY LARGER "KESTREL" MODEL) AND IT'S STILL GOING STRONG. THIS NEW PACK LOOKS LIKE THE SAME BOMB-PROOF QUALITY.
"Awesome daypack, great quality, comfortable, BUY ONE!" 08/20/06
This is an awesome pack. I took it with me mountain biking and it served me well. The hydration pocket fit a 70oz. Camelbak perfectly. The stratos 18 has room for everything you will need for a good daypacking adventure. The frame contours to my back perfectly and the waste and sternum straps provide good support. This pack is great quality and I can see it holding up to whatever I can throw at it. The only problem I had with the pack is that I used it for a carry on back for my flight and the metal frame made it too bulky to fit properly under the seat and allow me to have some leg room. Other than air travel, this is a perfect daypack. Oh and it looks great too.
