The Osprey Quantum Pack is a daypack that makes me wonder if Osprey has some sort of pocket engineer sitting around thinking of awesome and functional pockets to add to their packs. Maybe engineer isn't the right word. Pocket Jedi Master might be more appropriate. This backpack features a laptop pocket, an internal document sleeve, an MP3 pocket, a front pocket with a mini-organizer, a front stretch mesh pocket, and plenty of extra room in the bag to spare. Everything has a spot without having excessive pockets: it's a flawless balance of pockets that only the most advanced Pocket Jedi Master could create but is for everyone to appreciate. Ideal for trekking across campus or for a quick overnight or daytrip, this bag is always ready to go and looks great carrying anything. And don't worry about being delicate with your daypack: use it and abuse it without worries thanks to it's durable ripstop nylon construction.

"Great pack with lots of space."  03/27/12

Purchased this pack to replace 2 bags. I got tired of carrying a laptop bag and a gear bag for after work activities. This bag has enough space for my work stuff and my fun stuff so it's all good. Lots of pockets and spaces to keep things separated and it fits well to. Bought my wife one too so she isn't the bag lady when she goes into work anymore.

"Durable and stylish"  12/02/11

What can I say... This bag kicks serious butt. It is durable, light, and just bad ass looking. Perfect for a day pack or just the avid student who wants to be comfortable trekking across campus. I purchased the ink color because it makes me feel like a ninja. But in all seriousness Osprey just makes a great product with a lifetime guarantee on their bags. This bag in particular is the bees knees... whatever that means.

"Just what the doctor (read orthopod) ordered"  11/03/11

What a wonderful pack! Bought this for use on cycling trips. I inserted a hydration pack in the sleeve provided, and it is now simply perfect. The pack does not produce the dreaded sweaty back, as the fit, technology and materials keep it from lying flat on one's back. In addition, I can easily carry a dslr as well as other items needed for a 5-6 hour adventure. Couldn't be happier with the pack. In fact, it's now my carry on of choice, having replaced a beloved Patagonia bag.

"For hiking, school, small daytrips and adventuring."  10/08/11

Love this pack, keeps my back cool when hiking with the water bottles and has the cross-straps across the chest and hips to keep it in place while running. Using it currently as a backpack for school. love the extendable side straps for when you don't have as many books in there! :) The strechy pocket keeps many objects in it secure and has not lost its shape yet! Bought it in NZ for a daypack and used it everyday, 10 months later its still going great!

"I wholeheartedly recommend this pack!"  10/02/11

Purchases this pack to use primarily for school, as a replacement for an assault pack I used in the military. This bag is extremely well made, and there is a ton of attention to detail. It rides comfortably within its intended weight range. So far, I've had about 30lbs in it with no problem. The primary negative I have to gripe about is the belt. The webbing is just too thin to be practical, and I don't understand why they would have made this design choice. Overall, and excellent product. I can't say enough about the quality.

"Life saving pack!"  06/27/11

I bought this bag in January and haven't looked back since. I needed to upgrade my day pack in order to accommodate my ever growing work load. On a daily basis I load this bag up with a 15" laptop, a few binders, notebooks, books (small and large), my lunch, bike clothes, helmet, camelbak, shoes, and more. The front mesh pocket is super strong and stretchy. I have a steep 2 mile walk to campus, and this bag never holds me back. Great back support and very breathable! It seriously gets the job done and has transitioned beautifully into the far more fun summer adventures. I am also a 5'6'' female. It's a little over-sized but nothing debilitating.

"Best bag I've Owned"  02/01/11

I am not a back pack person. But being 5'4" the sling and shoulder bags I looked at couldn't hold all the stuff I need to carry with me as a busy student/working person. After buying this bag I am a total convert. It is HUGE and can be packed full of my laptop, books, lunch a change of clothes, water bottle, coffee thermos and still feel comfortable on my shoulders and back. I use it the most for school. But it works great as a day pack and an overnight bag. I would recommend it to anyone. I have the golden rod color and it's beautiful.

"WONDERFUL!"  12/15/10

I love this bag. It is incredibly comfortable. The laptop sleeve fits my laptop perfect, and there are is a ton of additional room. There is the perfect amount of pockets, pen slips and key rings. The side mesh pockets are perfect for water bottles and the different loops on the straps make it really convenient to clip different stuff too. I use it for school and as a day pack. I would recommend it to anyone.

"At the Quantum level it works!"  09/25/10

OK so the name implies some pretty serious science here. But fundamentally speaking...this pack has it where it counts. I needed something for everyday, something reliable, something with a quasi-cool name that didn't resemble a briefcase. Can I go back to using a backpack for work after I'm all grown up? The answer is YES. My macbook slides in neatly, some documents that I have to make me look important slide in the pocket next to it. I just might lay them out at a coffee shop to make people wonder what crazy stuff I'm up to.

"Can Hold Everything and More!"  09/08/10

I actually got this bag for school - yeah, yeah, I know it's like a full-on day pack, but I carry around a lot of stuff with me. It's great. I can fit all my books, binders, a hoodie, plus all the other little junk everyone has AND still have room for take out when I go get beer and wings between classes. My only slight issue with it is that it's really hot to carry around. The bag is extremely well padded, but that makes it incredibly hot when I'm walking up the side of a mountain in the sun on a 90 degree day. And, of course, I got the black one...All in all a great bag & great brand.

"PIMP pack"  09/07/10

i decided to try osprey because my girl has a multi-day pack by them that i just love. i am so damn impressed. its huge for one thing. has a sleeve for my macbook that could hold a 3 liter platypus no probs. theres tons of well placed, well thought out pockets, even on the outside, there are some spacious and well hidden pockets.compression straps are super well done, the water bottle pockets... everything. just what you would expect from osprey. it is huge though, and tall. def not for smaller people, or even regular size people maybe. im sure the quasar or the other smaller packs in the series are just as fine
