"Fits everything" 03/24/12
No seriously it fits everything. I purchased the Metron 35 to replace a Dakine bag I had for 5 years. The Dakine bag was tremendous, went through several vacations (Australia, Europe, Asia) and also made it through 3 deployments to Iraq. Needless to say I wasn't going to settle for just any bag. I love Osprey and when researching this bag thought it would have a chance to live up to my Dakine bag, I’ve had it for over a month and it lives up to my old Dakine standards. Currently using it in Afghanistan with the Marines. Holds my 15.6” laptop, 3 changes of clothes, snacks, etc… It may not be the perfect bag for the commuter but it’s perfect for me.
"Works great, even at 90 mph." 09/30/11
Needed a commuter bag for my motorcycle, but all the motorcycle backpacks were too small. This bag has a lot of storage in the main compartment and the compression straps and the tapered design help keep things from flapping around when I'm motorcycling.Disadvantage is the tapered design makes it difficult to put water bottles in the side pouches and binders/books in the main compartment, but creative packing resolves the issues. My computer fits perfect, but I also am using a smaller computer (Lenovo X220). It looks like a slightly bigger computer could fit. The price is a bit high, but it is definitely one of the better day packs I have owned.
"Great for the commute" 08/20/11
I have been using this pack for over a month and it is really fantastic. There are some really great specs. I haven't had a chance to use the rainfly yet but it looks as if it will work real well. The lid lock and all the compartments for storing bike needs make life much more convienent. Also the key thing is pretty genius.
